And yeah.. like I said in the beginning, I'm at work. Yeah, I actually have a career and I don't spend 24 hours a day 7 days a week on these forums. Just happened to be a slow morning and now it's picking up again. So, I'll leave the math from a video game to the "cool kids" on the forum. Which gets you nowhere in life.

Lol just wow bart, Pull the career card because you got embarrassed like always lulz. I see nothings changed since you moved to asura :P.

Bahamut.Raenryong said: increase in WS frequency (which isn't -that- large)
This is the problem for me. The increase in WS frequency (coupled with the aforementioned skill difference and, in my case, 16 skill from dagger merits) in situations with 2marches+haste really is -that- large. I guess I'm going to have to be the one to test it.
Thanks though, I just wanted to know if there was definite information out there already.

Maybe you should try these guys, I hear you could lrn2maths with them.
Can't wait to see these parses, if you actually post them... Don't forget to list gear, food, buffs, and all that jazz.

That doesn't mean I should support your 2k avg drakes claim lol, you put out some crazy drakes this is true, but actual parses are needed for avgs bish.

I'll just do some rough math for ya; doesn't cover all situations but yah. Long wall of math inc:
Quote: TP
5.2 * 1.9 / 192 delay [MKris]
6 * 1.45 / 224 delay [Joyeuse]
192 hits of 6 * 1.45 = 1670.4tp [Joyeuse]
224 hits of 5.2 * 1.9 = 2213.12tp [Mkris]
Increase => 32.5% WS frequency [Joyeuse => Mkris]
Damage
8 * 1.9 / 192 delay [Mkris]
35 * 1.45 / 224 delay [Joyeuse]
192 hits of 35 * 1.45 = 9744 + 192fSTR [Joyeuse]
224 hits of 8 * 1.9 = 3404.8 + 224fSTR [Mkris]
Let fSTR = 3
Totals:
Joyeuse: 10320
Mkris: 4076.8
Decrease => 253% DoT [Joyeuse => Mkris]
This is without considering accuracy differences! Let's assume Dagger = 272 and Sword = 240; skill difference of 32 = acc difference of 28.8 which I will approximate to be ~14% hitrate.
Let's let Joyeuse have an 81% hitrate and Mkris a 95% hitrate.
Number of hits of Joyeuse = 192 * 1.45 in the time Mkris lands 224 * 1.9. Modified with 81% hitrate, this becomes 192 * 1.45 * 0.81 = 225.5.
Number of hits with Mkris = 224 * 1.9 using same logic above, this becomes 224 * 1.9 * 0.95 = 404.32.
TP gain;
Joyeuse: 225.5 * 6 = 1353
MKris: 404.32 * 5.2 = 2102.464
Increase in TP gain [Joyeuse => Mkris] = 55.4%
DoT;
Joyeuse: 225.5 * 35 = 7892.5 + 225.5fSTR
Mkris: 404.32 * 8 = 3234.56 + 404.32fSTR
Let fSTR = 3
Joyeuse: 8569
Mkris: 4447.52
Decrease in Damage [Joyeuse => Mkris] = 92.7% - Note in reality that this figure will be lower because Mkris will have more Attack in this case.
Finally then, comparing
55.4% WS frequency vs (<)92.7% DoT. At what TP/WS ratio will the 55.4% WS frequency triumph over the 92.7% DoT?
Answer: 37.4%TP / 62.6%WS. (note in reality due to pdif being ignored which is larger on the dagger hence greater DoT than predicted, this will be closer to 40TP/60WS~)
Tl;dr: if you produce more than 60%~ of your damage from WS on Corsair, Mkris will beat Joyeuse if you have full dagger merits and no sword merits, generally speaking.

Pfft. Forget all the math, this is why you should use a sword:
You see this man? This man is a motherfucking pirate. Pirate is another word for Corsair. He is the same job as you. He uses a sword and a gun to fight. You want to be like this guy, right? Then ditch the silly dagger and use the sword!
Jack Sparrow aside, good to know... though I've sword merits and no dagger merits so regardless I'm using Joyeuse if I ever level COR.

That only really matters when you killshot with WS and it also applies to kris. It gets tp faster. So you get TP faster and finish off the mob vs ending up with 95 at the end of the fight and get to open w/ ws on the next mob

Why not? Not like you take more dmg than anyone else and everyone else should be /war (or /sam) too. I fulltime hasso and ride zerk + main voke on sam/war and don't have a problem.

OK,people back on topic!
COR is the ultimate DD in regards to how much damage it brings to the table through Buffs and also its rather meager Melee/WS.
Discuss.....

Dual marches disagree, especially in zerg
I leveled COR when it first came out for the simple reason, fast merit invites yet can get by without having to pull. Recently for the last week or so every invite i have had is COR + BRD and yet the pt wants me to pull. With the delay of my gun, plus timers on Light Shot and losing the DD power of Slugshot, i dont understand why COR makes a better puller over BRD, any ideas?
