If they're 6/6 region they will attack the strongholds it's just unbearably slow.
You have to be the savior of the whole region. Go kill any and all attackers every where so their focus is attack and not defending.
Including killing all generals that spawn in the stronghold even when there is no campaign battle.
Recruiting freelancers probably helps too, I guess, never done it personally

Fresh 8 today, having done quite a bit of battle content in the game, and realizing I hadn't ever actually completed the abyssea questline to "abyssite of the cosmos" level. Picked that up, zoned, and immediately dinged Rank 8. I've got an export from XIC if anyone's curious.
No Medal of Altana, barely any abyssea quests done; just what's absolutely necessary, with the exception of one RL day where I was all gung-ho about completing a bunch of quests and did maybe 8 and never thought about it again. I hate missions in general and tend to avoid them as long as I can. I've got every combat/magic skill capped as high as she goes. Primes: 2x S3 2x S4 1x S5 and some S1's. A lot of REMAs that probably don't matter. I don't like the way this tracks Monstrosity, as it's a little misleading. I've got 11.4M EXP in Mostrosity. I'm tracking that separately in a spreadsheet; I was focused on unlocking as much as possible for about a week during last month's campaigns. Not sure if it was necessary, given how I dinged, but hindsight. Before that, I only had 1 species at 60 and 1 at 33, the slimes from DQ, the race instincts, and that was about it. <1M EXP. Stack of what I've done recently (most recent first) The last 2 abyssea quests Fishing.. I don't think I caught any new fish, though. Monstrosity yesterday during Gain EXP, 7 mobs from 1-15, then 2 unlocks at 30, nothing crazy. Cerberus Title Discerning eye a few times, don't think I hit any threshold title-wise; trying to figure out how many I had done back in the day. Still don't know. Adenium Bench grind Started raising a chocobo (first ever) 3 days ago Did ROEs, mostly NM hunts, to get that total to 800 completed. MMM to 50+ clears, chased random titles from the bard Chased some HTMB titles on VD over last weekend (4 I think?) Divine Might redo, Divine Might HTMB VD Wyrmking Descends Finished the last 5 Meeble Burrows things I needed to Rank 3 Changed nations and did 2 Missions each in Bastok, San d'Oria Bought like 18 titles worth of CP items as I switched, too. Hunted a bunch of NM titles, maybe 10 or 12? I was missing a fair amount of those, and it was a fun thing to do right after reset. Pre Update Monstrosity, roughly 9-10M EXP All Empy Gear to +3 The "easy" mog garden titles: 1000 mining, 1000 weeds, yeeztog hire ACP Complete from the goblin KI stage Bout title for the first time; totally different approach to bout than my usual Golden Shovel and Ygnas from ~50/99 adoulin quests Edit: XIChecklist Export below, playtime is 1692 days

Been Rank 8 for 3 months now. Hopefully attempting a master trial tonight. I have so much done, I can't even understand how I'm not MR9. It HAS to be the Master Trials.
Balthor, pick any of your low-hanging objectives that are just a few points from being 100% complete and complete them.
There's like 4 quests he can easily bang out to be complete with quests. As well as 4 or so NM/HTMB titles
I'm assuming the magic your missing is from not having mastered jobs. Voidwalker Titles are a pain... Especially Yilbegan I'd wager the biggest "block" atm is not having done any chocobo racing. You have alot more overall points than me, mainly due to monstrosity, but you're missing alot more titles. Here's my checklist at Rank 8, less points then Balthor but I got a lot more content done. Other things I've kept track of that don't show:

My new mule finished Sandy missions, ToAU, and RotZ. Also did cop up through the U/O fight. Building Imps for SoA. Did RoV up to the point where it is blocked by my lack of WotG. Ran around the past and got all the warps, but haven't started the missions yet. I'm really not looking forward to them, even though they have the best reward.
Still rank 1, under 6 days playtime. ML18 COR

My Campaign Medal is Allied Ribbon of Glory (4th one); I could change nations and de-rank that to test some stuff, or I could reset AF memory and use that to test some other stuff? I've done very little since my rank up, besides collect the 1 map I was missing, spend some trust points, and gain 3 wing skill to 9.

It works, switching to COR and PUP updates the list. I had no idea I'm missing a Spiritreaver head and a bunch of attachments...
I only found one attachment I'm actually missing. It's still showing Mana Tank, Disruptor, Auto-Repair Kit, Vivi-valve, Shock Absorber, Mana Booster, Mana Jammer, Accelerator, and Stabilizer as missing.

Re: Skills, perhaps could integrate with gearswap to add up skill+ and exclude that, or make everyone get naked and only take skills when you've detected they're naked. Now let's talk about me. I've never reset the AF memories before. Is there some strategy to doing that? Some give a different number of titles than others, right? I don't know which those are aside from maybe BLM AF? I thought it gave a few more titles, etc. Is your list in the priority order you'd prefer I test things in? i.e. Ergon Locus #1 priority? And later, when I get back to re-questing them, I guess the strategy is to store the new set on a claim slip? How do you get the exact # of kills in escha? and dragons?... I can understand manually tracking the dragons... but the regular mob kills? The book(s) next to the Escha NPC's give you kill tallies

Atmacite level would be a super interesting one to test IMO - if that doesn't contribute, suddenly you don't need to incinerate 3 million cruor.
Normally I'd say that's not a lot but I'm working on a fresh account so I can't just sleepwalk my way through Bismarck for six hours :( I know most of the fun is figuring out what makes number go up, but I can help but ask if the people who made master rank are familiar enough with all these very old systems to require them for rank ups.
Ultimately seeing parts of the game you normally wouldn't is a good thing, but I can't shake the feeling most of it matters much less than people want to believe. Maybe I'm completely off here. I think you're completely right. Chances are we're assigning value to things that don't matter at all, and probably missing somethings that do matter.
With hidden values that's all you can do. Nothing is off the table. Do. Everything.
I don't know enough about the frequency or type of data the server receives about character progression to tell, obviously. But given the constraints on traffic already, do we really think there is a server side master checklist being updated for every single character doing every single activity in the game? No *** way.
