I wonder how is it actually possible that the 109 relic doesn't have augments. That would mean the would have to be two sets of 109 relic in the game: one augmented and one not augmented?
Is it possible that the set simply does not list the augment, but it is still there? Needs to be fixed anyhow, but maybe it's just missing the text and the JA modification aspect remains.
SE explained this at one time, having trouble finding the link as it was years ago, but effectively they said that the augment data fields could not be stored in the slip data sets, so they chose requiring augments as that was the expected final form, and they could simply reapply the augment as it was extracted.
