Pewdie started doing commentating on Counter Strike matches, both pro and public ones.
He became popular mostly from getting featured on South Park (the making fun of talking head game streamers that don't actually play episode) and took off from there.
Now he just does whatever and has a captive audience that watch anything he does. Same as most popular streamers.
Integrity. Morality. Ethics. Don't buy houses. But selling out does.
I mean at least Pewdie doesn't pretend to be single, posting thirst trap photos on Twitter to appeal to his masses of simps, pretending to be in a parasocial relationship with his fans, just to get the bag.
Nothing wrong with having an entertaining enough personality to make others want to watch you, without having to bare skin.
I so hate having to deal daily with 30gb in my C drive at best, but it fluctuacting to less than 10gb because Microsoft is installing the next spyware on my computer.
I genuinely dont know what is going on, if it is those sneaky Windows Updates, if it is some cache being generate that Im unaware, because I only generate new files on my D drive, so I cant understand what is being loaded on my C.
After I finish PantonicVideo, my next vibe code project will be an application to monitor my own computer so I can understand what is going on here and fix it.
Maybe someone of you installed crypto mining on my machine, and you guys keep farming on me.
Some (good) videos that Ive recently been recommended was about musician professionals analyzing some historical musics from FF in particular.
I like how there is a whole world that is hidden between the lines of a music that anyone who isnt studied in that just think “its good” while people who knows, can present a coherent structure that is the basis of those songs.
So much that now, that I who dont have any course or classes going on, feels like undertaking a music college to learn about that.
Probably this is just a common thing, but music is so prevalent in my life, mainly no vocal songs.
Knowing the basics of it would effectively increase how to enjoy a good song.
IDK about you, but when I hear a music, some of them can make me think about a whole story from it. Because you can use a music to tell a story and that is one thing I wish I could do: by controlling the notes, telling a story.
That is to say, Im not aiming to play any instrument, but to work in compositions, and possibly write something to play with eletronical instruments.
Earlier I watched a video about a brazillian dev commenting he fixing his game that was on sales at Steam, and was receiving many bad reviews.
The thing is, there were some blocking bugs that prevented progression. Like game consuming an item before assuring its consumption, or a poorly implemented lock that never acted accordingly with its view.
The guy had to collect feedbacks to quickly release fixes, but the thing that caught my attention wasnt about coding.
But another important aspect that Ive learned while doing videos. Once a guy said: before releasing a video, check it at least once. Well, that is a given, but the punchline came after: “just think: if you dont feel like consuming your own product, why do you think others would be willing to do?”.
That got me. Yeah, I think if you do something you genuinely feel like consuming, at least people like you will also want to consume the same thing.
But if not even you cares to consume it, then the chance none in world to feel the same is reduced.
And that brings me back to the dev. One thing is an edge case you would be aware and it happens. Another entirely different thing is your game having a blocking bug in its normal flow, and the dev needing to resort to feedback to narrow it down.
This is a red flag the guy dont even feel like playing his own game.
That is my baseline of quality from now on. At least me and people like me must like anything I produce.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
