I actually forgot to log in to this before it poofed. Two months ago, it's sad when online games end and I spent so many hours in this one and also money, I'd be curious how much I spent overall. I see a lot of people angry too, apparently the jp servers stayed online
I'm still a touch annoyed by it. I didn't invest much money in it, but I spent a lot of time trying to max out all the characters. I was optimistic that the game would hit an end-of-life plateau period where updates would stop rolling in but they would keep the servers open. Alas, that's not how these things usually work. They just throw the switch and that's that.

Do you remember if you had a VIP tier? If no VIP tier, then probably not as much as you think you did. Though I know the VIP metric is based on total spending within a specific time frame, but I can't give the exact window of opportunity.
Thru a email search I think at one point I did
"Hi VIP player!
You are now registered as a FINAL FANTASY Record Keeper VIP! Your VIP status will allow you to receive exclusive information about game updates and other FFRK features, sent directly to this address:
We would like to thank you for registering your email address and becoming a VIP, and we sincerely hope that you will continue to enjoy playing FINAL FANTASY Record Keeper.

Lol i looked thru and saw a lot of 99 cent charges. I think that email was around when they had Beatrix weapon, I tried so hard to get save the queen and finally got it
Those names have permanently stuck for the rest of the IP's lifetime and makes for some interesting "WTF" moments when you're watching a Street Fighter anime with the original JP dub but the subtitles change the name on you, lol.
That's why the SF community have traditionally referred to them as Boxer, Claw and Dictator when dicussing SF stuff on forums, to avoid any confusion.
I prefer the original Japanese naming because Vega has a better ring to it as a final boss/big villain name (one of my childhood anime had its villain named Vega too).
I still have no clue why they decided to localize Gouki as "Akuma" though, lol.
All of these gacha games are a risk, least it lasted as long as it did. I've played some that abruptly get shut down a year or less after launch.
I remember Dragalia Lost hitting that discontinue service wall pretty quick. I don't think it was within a year but it was pretty close.
The Taiwanese server of the Nier Gatcha game got shutdown already too. But in typical Yoko Taro fashion, he made it a somewhat unique shutdown.. by making it so when you finish the final quest made specifically for that server, it would delete your entire account too, lol..

I do appreciate that the overall SF FGC community has adopted those nicknames so there is less confusion overall for the globe.
In terms of Akuma / Gokui, a quick Google indicates that apparently Akuma sounds more "intimidating" for EN speakers, hence the name change. So... take what you will?

I had fun playing FF Mobius. Some main title FF events had decent stories (with neat cutscenes and voice acting). It was great FF fanservice for me. Sad it had to go away, but it was expected.

Once i saw a youtuber showing an example of yogioh current neta game…
It was hilarious how many crap the player used in his very first turn, completely beating the opponent.
I would post it because it was kinda surreal, but in portugueses, it wouldnt pass the same experience i had when i first watched dude combing everything
Holy ***Tesla ain't gonna be worth pennies by the time this dumbfuckery is over
(It is all a con to buy back his shares he had to sell at way less) Easiest money dupe ever. If only market manipulation was like, illegal or something.
Not trying to spoil the mood, but i think particularLy impressive the amount of divorced people at my work.
A new colleague said he broke up with his wife recently even after their son/daighter were grown up. Two women divorced but with their daughter. Another colleague with his daughter living with her mom.
I guess pandemic took a toll from many couples.
But i do hope people can choose better their partners for better relationship, and also that they can invest enough to make it happen.
Btw, my parents were divorced since i was like 3.
Honestly i really dont see a point in this.
I guess i should be grateful for being born but meh…. Considering nowadays i just cant stand my father, i guess im grateful for always having the options to go one side to other
Have to have an open relationship or one that you only play together with others. That way it cant get bored, which is usually what happens. The old timey stuff never works in my opinion, most have lied to themselves.

Boredom is not what kills most marriages. In my case I had a few kids and now boredom is the least of my worries. Maybe in a decade and a half my wife and I can have the privilege of being bored again.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
