None of them.
Nothing stopping you from doing it though. It's only a couple hundred damage. It's not life shattering.

Which one of these bodies are people swapping to R30 nyame path A for?
None of them, for a lot of reasons, including but not limited to:
Nyame is all jobs, and this armor isnt.
Nyame has MAB and this doesn't
Nyame has SCD and this doesn't
Nyame has much better meva
Nyame has more DEF, HP, MDB, etc.
But even still, comparing them to R25 nyame:
Nyame has 2 more WSD than all of them.
Nyame has 10 more STR than Egbesu, 5 more than Nzame, 2 less than Olorun, 3 less than Ruwa.
Nyame has 9 less DEX than Egbesu, 23 less than Nzame, 14 less than Olorun, and 2 less than Ruwa
...You can go down the list and check all the other stats for your WS, but generally speaking: if it's a DEX WS maybe it's better but for the majority of cases, Nyame beats the new armor.
You can swap if you want to sacrifice WS damage on nearly every WS on nearly every job, wear a less defensive piece in your WS set, etc. to trade in for a better TP piece. It's not really a good idea for any job.
If you exclusively play DNC or DRG and no other jobs, the argument could be made. For anyone with even a tiny amount of job diversity, it's a terrible idea to trade R25 Nyame for this stuff. For R30 Nyame, it gets even worse.

I'm sure NM camping and lottery spawns will entice new players to spend 13 bucks/month on a ancient game with ancient graphics, UI and clunky controls.
This is not da way...

I've been considering it pretty hard. I play a lot of jobs, many that would greatly benefit from path a body.
I'm not convinced its a bad choice to make, however it'll mess up your hybrids for sure.

This is not da way... the only thing most people are entitled to give advice on on this forum is what the best order would be at a mcdonalds drive thru.
you're implying they should update the graphics/UI/controls?
do you have any idea how much work that would require? not to mention what they are doing currently to help bring new players up to speed appears to be working.

It's immediately "popular" because it's new. Even people in nyame were doing it.
It won't hold subs, it's already fallen off pretty hard, and when they reveal no update for them next month and next month and next month and next month lol
What would hold subs, I don't *** know. I don't know why on earth any sane person would start or stay in an mmo. It's too old to start and sunk cost is a ***.

i have no idea who you're talking to, i don't see the word popular anywhere on this page.
it seems very evident to me based on the drop rate / spawn rate, that SE intended for these to be "always up" NMs.
they intended a player to say "Hey i need a piece for this job I just got to 99 and am a new player, what can i do?"
the enlightened mcdonalds drive thru customers on this forum: lmao just skip all the content buy some gil and buy a v0 clear or grind sortie for a few months
the reality of what someone wants to do: go kill a mob thats up and spend 20 minutes getting a free piece of starter gear.

Future upgrade usefulness aside (and I'm the type to hedge bets so I'm getting most of these "just incase") - I was surprised at how much I am into camping these. Call it old 75 era habits dying hard, but I was immediately back to figuring out exactly where to stand to see the full spawn area at each camp, making sure my targeting was on point...all of the old ways were coming back. I, like most posters here are well beyond most of this gear but it is surprisingly engaging at least for a little while to do this kind of thing again. Colour me surprised.
Of course, I'm teaming up with others I see although a lot of new players don't seem to know that you can't be invited if you have Trusts out and language barriers have made this difficult a few times.
And hey, if future Olorun Gloves +2 mean I don't have to make yet another Duty piece then this was a few hours well spent.

you're implying they should update the graphics/UI/controls? No, that was not what I meant. I was trying to point out that FFXI already has several legs down in competing with other current titles (graphics/UI/controls) and SE decided to use the worst antiquated BS system they ever made to convince new people to give them monthly payment for something that they can get elsewhere, better and for free.
They trying to advertise their exciting product by making people stand around and wait or kill a bunch of mobs over and over in a set interval, it doesn't get much less engaging than that.
New people don't have a massive pile of sunken cost fallacy that keeps them subscribed no matter what, they most likely don't bot either so NM and lottery camping is the worst of the worst decision imho. If you trying to lure in new people you usually try to represent yourself from your best side, not your worst.
it seems very evident to me based on the drop rate / spawn rate, that SE intended for these to be "always up" NMs. Not my experience, the lottery pop I camped took ~60 minutes, maybe longer, to spawn both times.

to respond to your first point - no. there are plenty of games with garbage graphics/UIs that are booming, look at osrs for example. look at classic wow for example. this is not the limiting factor, as proven by the growth ffxi has had in the last 3-4 years.
second point - i swear bro, you guys are wild. the end state of these NMs will be what i stated. they are more popular right now because autists on ffxiah who don't need the gear and who the gear was not made for are camping the NMs

like the only reason to kill the trash mobs is to make the NM spawn, and then you kill the NM and open the chest - you might do it multiple times, but the end state is "you just killed the NM and opened the chest and then left", and that means the placeholder's way more likely to respawn than back-to-back NM... so who's killing the PH again to make the NM sit around in the overworld in your scenario a year from now?
edit: actually I know what I want to compare this to. You ever do those RoE objectives that's just "kill a random lotto pop NM"? I have definitely rolled up to the zone and found the NM up, once or twice. But I also definitely had to pop all the rest myself.

Raaz was up for me, the PH wasnt around on ASE, so it just lucky spawned on server-up
Matamata took like 20-25 minutes (first server pop as ASE showed no corpse)
Craklaw and Snapweed took 60-70 minutes (first server pop as ASE showed no corpse)
Also the simping of "they never said it would be more powerful than Ambuscade equipment" to "its just a poor translation" needs to be studied.

I don't know why one would defend this bottle neck design, it's not 2002 where you could give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know better yet.
Other content might also disrespect peoples time but at least you get something to do, NM camping and lottery pops is the worst of the worst and it needs to stop.

Remember that bridge gear character is not fighting ***where they need to turtle up in 50% DT to survive. Bridge gear is farming Sheol A/B poorly, is doing Sortie top floor for caskets and maybe Ghatjot, is doing wave 1 dyna-D, is doing Omen, is doing V0 Gaol. Nothing here is stomping you out for not having 50% DT full time. Nothing theyre fighting is going to punish them with death for getting caught with their pants down and WSing in 5% DT. You cant even bring up the MEVA argument because these sets have pretty terrible MEVA.
No one is doing V15++ bosses, basement Sortie, Wave 2/3 dynamis in this gear.

It is entirely possible to kill a placeholder and leave before the NM pops. Lotto mobs CAN be up when you randomly show up if someone gave up, died or d/c'd

Being very generous, this gear lets you farm Empy +2 a tiny bit easier.
Which lets you farm Ody easier. You'd still need to farm a full set of empy +2 though for most jobs.
Or grind Lilith like a chub, for the jobs on malignance. People always forget malignance armor is not all jobs.

how are you defining the term MORE POWERFUL in the words of SE to mean STRONGER TP SET.
It doesn't matter what SE says and whatever AI/translation determines they mean, SE has and always will be vague in their descriptions. They don't always say things in ways that players understand them. In their minds, "more powerful" could mean a single point of HP/DEF/Magic Evasion/Accuracy/STR etc higher than a comparable ambuscade counterpart. They take piece one, and apply math to it to determine damage output/melee output/damage received. Then take another piece and compare it. If Piece one deals more damage than piece two, or takes less damage than piece two, that's their definition of "more powerful". Literally can be identical, but from whatever their AI shows "its more powerful". Technically it is.
From a player's perspective, we look at it like "this ***is really sidegrade, they lied".
Same as when SE said they would "give more TH gear to BST" and players pushed back and they said "no what ha ha ha ha happened was, we mean if we ever DID add BST pet TH gear...."
Don't ever read too much into what they say cuz you'll be disappointed. Wait to see what happens.

that is a fact.
the majority of these sets are an upgrade to WS sets as well when comparing the full set to an ambu+2 full set.

The exception, egbesu is just a subpar set. Mallquis is a bad set, too!
Less mab, less meva roughly equal hp/dt/mdef, zero attack
lol and uwu are close enough to sulev and meg that it's splitting *** hairs.
(trust shell, murky ring and ambu cape (near) cap MDT it's not a consideration)
May as well just say Nzame doesn't exist, it has no redeeming qualities. It is straight up dogturds. (snapshot isn't relevant the topic, it's a macro piece)

Wrong again, but you wont see this because you're a coward who cant handle being told you're wrong. (he edited his post as I wrote this up, it was originally only about Egbesu only)
Anyways, notice how everyone keeps using Ruwa as the reference set? They picked the set with the highest defensive stats because PLD is on it, since it has to account for a job whos role is to mitigate physical damage by getting stomped out. But to be fair, as a whole its easy to compare as it has 5/5 jobs on Flamma and is 4/5 Sulevia.
The Nzame set is inferior every way for RNG and COR. Its strictly pew pew armor (based on the lack of melee accuracy on it), and you cant even go "muh defensive metrics" since they should be pew pewing from outside mob aoe range. Good news is no one cares about pew pew roles unless they're doing the one Gaol fight that requires it. I know theres a master trial that requires pew pew as well, and there is no *** way anyone in Nzame is doing a master trial.
Olorun's is used by MNK / THF / BST / NIN / PUP / DNC / RUN
Ambu equivalents are:
Metals - Hizamaru (MNK NIN PUP) and Meghanada (THF BST DNC RUN)
Fibers - Tali'ah (BST PUP), Mummu (MNK THF NIN DNC) and Ayanmo (RUN)
Olorun's combined defensive metrics are 384 meva, 20 MDB, 21 DT. Its supplemental offensive stats are WSD+10, DA+5, CritRate+10. It also only has 25% haste in gear, so of tradition holds true, its not capped and will require another piece of equipment with Haste to cap out. Thats an Alabaster Ear instead of Sherida or Telos or Dedition. Thats a Sailfi+1 instead of a Kentarch+1. Or maybe its a non-factor because its made up elsewhere with JA Haste.
Hizamaru has no DT. It also has shitty offensive stats because it tried to appeal to a unique stat for all four jobs: NIN SAM dont care for Martial Arts, MNK PUP dont care for Tactical Parry, its unlikely SAM cares for it either, and all three definitely dont care for Dual Wield, MNK and PUP likely dont care for the WSD+7 on legs either.
Meghanada is slathered in PDT with a total of 292 meva, 21 MDB and -26 PDT. Its offensive supplemental stats are CritDmg+6 WSD+7 TripleAtk+5.
Tali'ah really caters more to the pet than masters. But lolBST lolPUP.
Mummu also only has 5 DT on pants with a total of 412 meva, 21 MDB with offensive supplemental stats of CritRate+32 StoreTP+6 DA+6 and 27% Haste
Ayanmo is slathered in DT with totals of 292 meva, 21 MDB, 20 DT with offensive stats of StoreTP+6, DA+7 CRate+6 and 26% listed Haste

so we are debating "TP set" basically? seems borderline idiotic to put such a lens on things. Yes
The TP set
Let me explain why this matters.
I believe the estimates for current DPS metrics are ~20% white damage (aka TP phase) and ~80% WS damage (MNK is closer to 30/70). The current meta involves getting TP up to ~1500 as quickly as possible to dump for big WS damage. If you are taking 2x as long to get to that 1500TP, you are hurting your DPS output by 50%. And thats not all: you are also hurting your group because you are generating less TP per swing, so you generating more TP on the target in question which means it will use more of its devastating attacks against you.
So not only are you decreasing your DPS, you are in effect increasing the DPS of the high damage target you are fighting by:
A- keeping it alive longer
B- feeding it more TP
