Update; almost got a 3rd coalition to Legend, and some more regular Adoulin quests completed. Bumped me to 7!

I am not under any delusions about why I am not closer to rank 7 or even 8, but I am a little perplexed at only being 5.
Recently finished Windurst to R10 and then did Sandy to R10 and working on Bastok (R3). Then completed all of ACP. Did more warps/spells/etc. To point out some of the "big" things at least in my mind... Legend in all coalitions. REMAPs count is my understanding and I have 3 stage 5 primes, 1 stage 4, 1 stage 3, a ton of relic/empy/mythic/aeonic weapons. All V25 Gaol done. A few MTs done. Big things that aren't done: Lot of abyssea and voidwatch stuff, monstrosity, a good amount of sub crafts (although I do have Bone 110), a LOT of missing titles and a big chunk of RoEs to do. Hoping that finishing off Bastok to R10 bumps me to MR6 (or maybe Bastok R10 plus the other 2 add on scenarios) but after that I am not sure what to attack first. -Go hit all the teleport points you haven't. (Past Cavernous Maws, etc) -Learn the few spells you haven't. -Check your vorseals (you probably have most of them, honestly) and do any of the fast ones you don't have. -Buy Conquest Points items for fast titles. Plus real-life time gated stuff to be on top of: -Mog Garden -Unique Coalition Assignments Beyond that, uh. Fishing? Multiple ranked up from chocobo digging and your wing skill is 0. Instead of 100%ing missions, do more variety.
100% missions is for sure the lowest hanging fruit to get, absolutely wild you have multiple stage 3s and not rank 10 in every nation lol
like I don't even disagree with "do variety", just. missions are like "you must be this tall to rid" imo. To me, first fishing and the east ronfaure fishing 10 ROE. Me and at least 1 more reported MR up on it (fishing skill 10.? To 10.?, so didn’t even lvl up). Other thing, wing skill to 10. Those 2 things first, low fruit
Being at 5500 and rank 5 versus 7500+ and rank 5... lol. Campaign ops count and that should be done - I literally have 150+ more missions on you for that alone. Had 500+ RoE, hundreds more quests done than you.
My update - 89 fishing now, lu+1 (#790 on Bahamut!) did a bunch of stuff but have not had a whole lot of time and had been ill. Keep knocking things out bit by bit. Chocobucks coming in now that I have average strength on choco - couldn't win with poor/substandard for free races.

Haven't checked in in a while but just in case people were curious how dumb 9 can be:
To make that somewhat more readable, here's everything that is NOT maxed out: Personal notes: * Missing four orchestrion rolls, two from tablets, two from old events never run again. I try for the tablets when I am around. * Missing Moogle and new Bubble Crab mounts as many are. Never going to obtain them more than likely. * Most claim slips are AF/relic I haven't given a ***enough about to redo, and may never bother with. * Goal is to eventually get all jobs to ML30 (like 7 left) and maybe one to ML50 (probably COR) at some point but low motivation on the grind. * Alter Ego points will continue to go up month by month and be done in a year or two. * Mazes are half done, just need to find the motivation to suffer through the back half for the one other title left. * Remaining three vorseals are for 360 of each dragon, am at like 310-320 of each, doing one per day with no rush. * Emporox categories are einherjar and meebles, extremely low motivation to waste two eyepatches on it lol. * The three newest master trials are pretty much the only other obtainable titles. I doubt I will ever do the final two, but maybe the dagger some day. * Not mentioned is the escutcheon: I'm sitting on stage 4, spirit grind. Could spend a couple months grinding this out if I wanted to, and probably will soon. That basically just leaves monstrosity, which at this point I'm basically running an experiment to prove is essentially impossible to hit 9 without. If I can finish the other 500 mazes, vorseals, shield, crystal paradise, and maybe some more master levels, and I'm still not 9, monstrosity will be effectively the only thing in the game I haven't done. Only thing I've done with it so far is one species to 90 and made sure to grab the event species when they were up. EDIT: And some non-tracked XIChecklist data: ~1343 days playtime, 0 relics, 3 mythics, 3 empyrean, 1 ergon, 16 aeonics, 1 S5 prime, 3 S4 primes (about to be 4).

Having a first relic could be a bump too, surprised to not have even one Are there any "collectables" or "completion checks" regarding Pankration? I also forgot my automatons have pretty low combat/magic skills since it wasn't tracked in XIC afaik so I'm working on that today. My version is only /12168, though, so I'm using an older version than other people so maybe those were added in newer versions.

There's a very high probability that just the shield will do it, but I'm really not looking forward to spending like 3 months in Ra'kaznar dealing with spheres. So I make excuses and work on other things instead lol.

I understood someone deranked only by resetting an AF quest , not by droping the slip KI's It's not that the claim slips counted, it's that resetting the quests removes them from completed, and will drop you ranks. So if anything, it can lower your rank until you get them done again, lol. I'm not sure there's been a single piece of evidence of claim slips moving ranks up or down yet.

This is how i read the scenario - and atm assume claim slip's are pointless (Albeit i'll still do it) You'll have to ask the guy who did it how exactly he tested it
It was HiPotion who tested it. His conclusion was that emptying slips did nothing.

Funny enough, after getting Bastok missions 20/20, I still was stuck at 5. Decided to go thru some of the RoEs and realized I had some that were "done" but never flagged...specifically a bunch of job lvl 50/75/99 stuff and some artifact quest RoEs. I would say I flagged/completed about 15-20 of those and that pushed me to R6 upon zoning. I am still under 6k (@ about 5800~ish now) points so not sure how you're @ 7500 points and still R5 if that is what you are saying. The "points" counted by XIChecklist are arbitrary and 1 point in one thing is not worth another. As an example, doing 1000 moblin mazes is 1000 points but only worth a total of 5 titles the game probably tracks. We don't have much insight into the weights the actual things are worth without some kind of visual bar or data provided to the player, so it's only from some player experiments we know certain titles are worth more than others like Medal of Altana.
XIChecklist is great to track potential things to work on, but a lot of what we're doing is guessing and just "doing everything that seems like it could be trackable" since we get zero feedback outside of an actual rank up or rank down.

Anyone with any critical thinking skills would realize that the points from HiPot's addon are not 1:1 what SE put in place to award rank ups... if it were that simple, everyone would know breakpoints or stopgap objectives.
If you're trying to rank up in earnest, this page of replies alone has more of the good advice, do the "big" things, do a "little of everything", missions > quests, boss titles / rare NMs / HNMs > quest titles. This is all perceived truth... we're players, we can't confirm it, but it sure seems like common sense. The problem is majority of the people that come in here have the same story. "I'm only rank 6! I've hit a brick wall... i dont know what else to do!... My XiChecklist addon says I have 4000 points." - Well clearly you have ALOT left to do, and you just dont want to? Unless you're trying to get rank 9, doing 10-20% of any given activity, or killing the mega boss of an activity for that title, and leaving the remainder of the content for later, is a very reasonable approach In contrast, being rank 6 and saying to youself "I need to complete all 1000 mazes, and do every quest now" while still having NEVER touched a given piece of content... or god forbid... still have missions or endgame activities incomplete... that's just foolish and way too much of a time commitment that would easily distract you from your goal I believe I've mentioned it before, but I'll say it again. When people ask me "what should I do to start working on Mastery Rank", I tell them to look up the Vorseals and do the boss titles and quest objectives required to unlock them. The Vorseals list has alot of very standard and approachable goals that in my opinion are quite valuable. - Finish each of the mission storylines (Zilart, CoP, Apoc Nigh, Windy / Sandy / Bastok, Aht Urgan, Adoulin, WotG, Abyssea, RoV, etc.....) - Do 10 mazes - Do the Airship dropped item quest (5?) times - Work on Fishing - Do "a" Beastmen Mask quest - Fight Odin II - Do Mog Garden's questline - Do Salvage II - Level a Monstrosity monster to.. 30? - Do an Expeditionary Force quest - Get half way thru the Adventuring Fellow questline - Do the 15th Walk of echoes - Do the Mini expansions (ASA, AMKdE, ACP) - Do the "Colored Letters" RoE questline (# of objectives counted) - Get the Limbus Titles (easy now) - Beat Tumult Curator (unity) - get all the Adoulin transportation KI's (I'm on a Boat quest) - Do an Aeonic run (for all the NM titles) - Do a few Chocobo races / Raise a bird - Do the final hall of Legion - Do all of Voidwatch (Provenance Watcher) These are ALL tracked by Vorseals.... If you do all of this and then you're still struggling, THEN go out and start nitpicking niche objectives, all quests in a nation/region, chasing obscure NM titles..... but do all that stuff 1st

Vorseals / Synthetic Atmas requirements are good starting point.
Atmas, in addition to what Dex listed, there are: few hnms assaults clears dynamis clears fiat lux maat cap fish quest guild signboard (crafting title) not to mention Byrth have gathered Mastery Rank testimonials in wiki page basically touch every content, before maxing out a single path. or else how would a mentor of MR7 would teach new players about fishing/digging if he didnt even touch it. you could have more points than your current rank's worth but you dont deserve a higher "knowledge rank"~ (jp name)
