so what are they doing to Mireu? Left column is people, right column is points when you win (100 pts if more than 6 people). but whats the middle column about. it says 10, 15, 20, etc hints.

also looks like it goes from 60 minute time limit to 5 days...

This is purely speculative but I think it's an increasing number of domain invasion points over the daily cap from mireu based on consecutive kills, and then increasing the daily cap from 80 to 100 after 5 consecutive kills.

At this time I'm uncertain if it just applies to the base stats, of which I am certain it does. (They mentioned CHR and stuff.)
Or if it also includes derived stats and things like MDB.

they explained in the video that it is just everything between Str and CHR

Thoughts on what the emergency maintenance is about before they tell us after-the-fact?

My only theory that connects those 4 zones is the Unity or RoE NPCs in each.

That was more in line with a joke I had in my head that I didn't really work out all too well, but it went something along the lines of: "X, Y, and Z zones are having emergency maintenance. That's going to mean A, B, and C jobs are going to be nerfed. l0Lz0rz". Like I said. It really wasn't fleshed out, so I just stuck a generic "they're gonna nerf something" FFXI meme in there.

As far as "do I like anything about FFXI" goes, yes. I love a lot of everything about FFXI. Sorry if my dark humor comes off as me shitting on the game in any way. I generally try to do it in a constructive or funny way, but since all of this interaction is via text or images, a lot of the subtlety and wink-wink-nudge-nudge is likely lost. Sarcasm is difficult to convey in this limited format.

Edit: and the "see nobody cares" was in reaction to how no NA even has mentioned the new furnishings.

It was in the digest. They made a mog bed and chocobo dresser in case that hasn't been stated yet.

Yes, and they said they are working on making more pieces similar in detail to those two. I believe they said it would be obtainable with login points.

I will say the detail on the dresser is great, I hope more stuff turns out like that.

They have finished the models for a Chocobo Bed and a chest of drawers with a chocobo theme. It was mentioned in whatever recent Freshly Picked Vanadiel (or similar; whatever they call their preview videos).

These are going to be added in later as a Login Reward Point item. Hopefully they will have a cool new Moghancement bonus like that Vana'clock that gave Moghancement: Bounty.

Edit so as not to doublepost:

They don't explicitly state it here, but they removed the A.M.A.N Reclaimers (at least the one in Bastok Markets).

You have no idea how their development process looks like. If they are used to work face to face for years, it will obviously impact they work if they change to remote. You also dont know if maybe someone from stuff isnt sick, breaking normal chain of work.

Maybe also they simply want to prepare next lvl of Odyssey for May/June and they are focused only on that.

Honestly, if a big, resourceful Studio like SE can't even setup remote work pipeline then I would seriously question their competency.

Many small indie studios that I know of switched to remote working within a few days, so does large VFX studio that has in house pipeline for years. Maybe not the entire pipeline but some part of it. So it isn't THAT hard to switch in this field, its not rocket science technology.

This is exactly opposite. Indie studios will have far easier time to switch to remote than big company. In big company everything process for days or weeks, especially when we are talking about something that has least priority (lets not delude ourselves, they will first set remote development for FFXIV and maybe even few other small games. They have also FFVII Remake premiere soon. They dont give a ***about FFXI development problems right now)
