Wouldn't it be crazy if the president of the United States could effect the world by their decision and actions? Indirectly. And that's because their own leaders are too weak to do anything about it.
Because America, *** Yeah!
USA is like 75% of our total exports, which is 300ish billions. In other words, you guys really like maple syrup A LOT. And we have you by the balls.
Don't piss us off too much, or we will get our oil syrup from China!

All I can see is someone salty about Obama's presidency trying to link gibberish together to make a point that doesn't exist.
it just might be the dumbest thing I have ever read....
and I read the fracking debate where someone suggested falling off a ladder could cause an earthquake. Oh that ***was great! Brace yourself when the garbage trucks come rumbling by!!!

There really is a difference, my wife is from Canada and her family sends us maple syrup every now and then. Stuff is good.

I had to find the source to figure out the inside joke here. I thought it was fairly straightforward what he meant, even if it wasn't the best example. I guess maintaining the joke is more important than understanding the context, though.

When you say stuff like this it does make me laugh because of how ridiculous it is... you belittle people constantly and are so petty when you don't get your way that you attempt to concoct plans to shut down the site... please... please stop trying to make it seem like you're a decent human being via your interactions on this site because that is truly laughable...

It's illuminating instead to have this conversation about whether someone is black enough.
Liberals are the ones who played identity politics, don't get salty when it bites you in the ***. President is just as much a "White President" as a "Black President", he's of mixed ethnicity (which is a good thing BTW) and instead of using that to project a message of unity, Democrats used that to project a message of "we're so modern and progressive cause we just elected a Black President". The proceeded to keep pushing it for eight years, all the while alienating the rural white middle-class population. Alienating that population so much that they didn't even bother counting or researching them for polls, cause you know, "rural white people don't matter".
And now Trumps elected President lol.
All I can see is someone salty about Obama's presidency trying to link gibberish together to make a point that doesn't exist.
Umm I voted for Obama..... and was on the other side of this debate, until the liberals got WAY to stupid and militant. Go look up the 2008 Presidential election arguments we had on here.
Yeah shocking right, I'm not a conservative nor am I a liberal, just kind of in the middle. Unfortunately being "in the middle" is now too conservative and I'm not politically correct enough for them so I get vilified. Kinda fun to watch people shoot themselves in the foot.

How much tax revenue does a homeless person pay again? In the other Washington 8.9% of everything they buy. And how much does a homeless person buy again vs. an employed person? Were it zero they would starve. We have sales tax on everything except "professional services"* here. This includes groceries and prepared food.
*Hire a lawyer or architect you pay no sales taxes on their services. Hire a plumber or electrician, its 8.9% to the governor.

Hell, Texas is heavy Republican, and we have a whole lot of private and public support for the needy. Maybe your state should take leaf from our book.

States have the same structure of spending as the federal government. The state Congress (or close imitation in your case) controls the "purse" and the governor directs the people spending it.

Breitbart Has Declared War on Kellogg
Conservative site fumes over ad pull
Quote: (Newser) – In a development future historians may see as quintessentially 2016, Breitbart.com has declared war on Kellogg. The news site's declaration of "#WAR" and call for a boycott came after Kellogg announced that it will no longer advertise on the right-wing site because it isn't "aligned with our values as a company," the Guardian reports. Other companies including EarthLink, Allstate, and Vanguard have also removed their ads from the site, which critics accuse of running racist, inflammatory content and having links to white supremacists.
In an angry response to the Kellogg withdrawal, Breitbart said the decision would make "virtually no revenue impact" on the company, but it represented an "escalation" in a war on conservatives by "leftist companies." "For Kellogg, an American brand, to blacklist Breitbart News in order to placate left-wing totalitarians is a disgraceful act of cowardice," said editor-in-chief Alexander Marlow. Breitbart claimed to have 45 million "highly engaged, highly perceptive, highly loyal readers" that Kellogg had "declared hate" for, though ComScore figures state that the site had 19.2 million unique visitors in October, the Los Angeles Times reports.

King, WA does somethings better than TX and TX does some things better than WA. But one thing we do better than any other state is how regressive our tax structure is.
And that's EXACTLY how it works in WA.

Trump: Make China great again! Your threats would have more meaning if we actually exported more than we imported.
Then again, your deficit is only a drop in the bucket compared to ours.

Depends on how you view a half filled/emptied glass. Oh wow he paid some people to stay in Indiana
do either of you have an example of another politician keeping a campaign promise before he/she ever got into office?
I'd really like to see how it stacks up.
The tax breaks apparently offered them more money than what they would save on shipping the jobs oversea. It seems like a band-aid to keep jobs in America but take money out of the tax payers pockets. Imagine if other companies want to make deals like these.
Jobs will stay in America sure, but Companies will just be robbing us of more and more of our tax dollars. They love to do this here in Illinois. Then 8 months after the payout, the companies still move out of state while keeping a skeleton staff of like 10 people at their new in-state "headquarters".

But one thing we do better than any other state is how regressive our tax structure is. ....um...you do know that Texas doesn't have an individual income tax either, right?
And...our tax rates range between 6.25% to 8.75%, while the average is 8.25%
Washington and Texas's property tax rates are also comparable, along with the same types of tax exemptions (mainly homeland and investment property).
In other words.....we are basically the same in this aspect.
You got to name something that Washington is better at Texas. And don't say coffee, because Starbucks and Seattle's Best are ***.

Then 8 months after the payout, the companies still move out of state while keeping a skeleton staff of like 10 people at their new in-state "headquarters". Can you give an example? Looking into it, found an article that has quite a few listed. chicago tribune link
Quote: Chicago-based Mondelez International Inc., best known as manufacturer of the Oreo cookie, is the most recent example of how companies can hedge tax breaks at taxpayer expense, the Tribune found.
Mondelez announced in July that about 600 workers would be laid off from its Chicago factory on South Kedzie Avenue. The production line is being moved to Salinas, Mexico, to save money, officials said.
But Mondelez operates a second manufacturing facility in Naperville that is licensed as a limited liability company, Mondelez Global — a common corporate maneuver for tax and liability purposes.
The Naperville facility received an EDGE contract in 2013 and agreed to invest $35 million in the facility and create 25 new jobs. One arm of the company thus became eligible to receive tax breaks for adding 25 jobs while another arm laid off 600.

Coffee.
Co-worker knows all about seattles coffee and reminds me how crappy the options in TX are. Subjective to personal taste!
We need to agree on something that's not subjective that either state is better than the other.
I already gave an example of what Texas is better at. I also stated what Washington and Texas are just about as good at with each other.
