Pokémon GO! - (Savage)

It's happened to me so many times while walking it's become a running joke. Apparently I'm going 50mph down the freeway or some ***and just don't know it.

Yeah its horribly implemented. It should literally be just a one-time affirmation the moment you hit a certain distance coverage (say 1 mile within 1.5 minutes). This would indicate that you're travelling faster than any normal bike or walking, and should only ask you once.

But what I've noticed is, I'll get the notification, catch a pokemon in an encounter, AND THEN GET THE NOTIFICATION AGAIN, within a space of 5 minutes.

I get the algorithm behind it is basically calculating your distance (seems to be every 5~10 second windows) and determining that you're speeding, but its poorly implemented. Especially since, at times, the GPS signaling can be off, and my character can be seen running erratically across the map. That's not speeding, although the game probably doesn't know the difference.

Just got a warning alert from the GoStats application that stated the app will no longer be maintained and users should uninstall so as to not be banned. Wtf man.

There is much speculation to current "ban status", I guess the best place to find out more about it in real time is this thread.

In summary, for what I have read and regarding Niantic's history, they could even go after people using 3rd party to just log in and check IVs for their Pokémon. How sad is that? :(

Pokemon go live map not working very well for anyone else? I've had the same 10 or so pokemon on the map for about 6 hours in the same spot..

Its not working. Check your timers. Its showing an outrageous amount, so something is broke.

But before I got rid of it (I hope I don't get banned for having used it) I managed to find some interesting details on my pokemon.

First off, I have a whopping 95.6% Gyarados with a moveset of Dragon <breath?>/Hydro Pump. Pretty stoked about that:



Also, completely worthless, but extremely rare, I managed to catch an Electabuzz with 0 for attack/stamina/energy (meaning the lowest possible electabuzz stats and iv ratio ever possible). They say the odds of this are so low. Thought it was funny when I saw it.

I'm still using it with no issues. Honestly, pretty sure the current bans are focused on botters, people hacking levels to 30+ in an hour, Gym botting and such. If someone got banned for GoStats, I'd be interested to see, but pretty sure the creator just did a panic of SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING after seeing the news and is wearing a tinfoil hat now.

Gyarados I've seen usually has insane IVs if caught in the wild. I caught 2 with the same % you have and I evolved a Magikarp that was also near perfect.

Speaking of Magikarp and Gyarados...and Dratini, I made another trip to the supposed nest last night and 4 Magikarp, no Dratini so looks like it was removed.

One of my sister's coworkers said he always got Dratini there till recently.

I don't fully understand this; botters were building Dragonite so they remove the nest? That does more to stop those of us who don't bot, botters can also spoof GPS to just go find Dratini when they pop, I'd think.

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong.

I see Dratini constantly in Central Park. I've heard rumors they rotate nests each month or periodically, there's a site https://pkmngotrading.com/wiki/Nests that keeps track of it I guess. Like right now, there's a Charmander nest like crazy west of Central Park at the Museum. 4-5 at a time there constantly. Dratini/Dragonair are pretty common but Dragonite is blue moon rare and Lapras is even rarer; I have never seen one spawn.

If a nest stops popping them, look elsewhere; just means their rotation was changed.

See, the park was listed as a Magikarp, Dratini, Slowpoke, and Psyduck nest iirc. I have caught several Magikarp. 1 Psyduck, 1 Slowpoke there.

They definitely didn't remove them. Checking the tracker in Sydney there's like 3-4 up around the ponds. Sucks 10km are so rare. 2 for me have been Jynx/Omanyte

If you don't see anything for your area, they ask that you go to facebook and ask them to support your area.

I am. In the lower left corner is a Filter button. Click that an a list appears. Pokemon appear on the map too.

Edit: Nevermind, was one spot over. Yeah nothing for Delaware. They state not every place is mapped for them. It has most though.

My theory is the author got a cease and desist so he just took the app down from Google Store and closed Face Book page as well, and put the warning message in the App before doing so.

I, too, believe the information you get there is way too valuable for stop using it once each night just to see the IVs of the Pokémon catched during the day. I will continue using it, and if Niantic bans my account (that is the only 3rd-party app I use with my account, of course) I'll just request for a refund of what I have spent on the game (not much really, just have bought twice in one month) and tell them to go fsck themselves :P

Thanks for the explanation! Did you upgrade to the latest versions during the past days? I noticed there were 3-4 updates, and on the latest one is that I get the "UNINSTALL NOWZ!!1!!! OR GET BANNED!!!1!!1!" message.

Woot. Got a soft ban for going 80 along the turnpike with no service for a good 10 minutes. kinda pissed..

Good news: I hatched a Porygon yesterday and immediately after found (and caught) a Dratini (finally).

Bad news: For some reason I had 50+ Meowth candy despite not catching or hatching any in a long time. I was pretty pleased since I didn't have a Persian yet so I evolved my strongest Meowth. I decided to power up the Persian just cuz and accidentally clicked transfer.... I'm sad now.
