Game is pretty stable. This weekend on Friday, I was locked out for some strange reason for about 30 minutes. No message, nothing. It just kept loading. Eventually rebooted my phone and it worked.
Also, T-Mobile sucks for this game. Yes, I understand you get unlimited data, but that data absolutely sucks. It goes out at the worst time and the most inopportune moments. Yes, I'm speaking from experience...
By Jetackuu 2016-08-08 09:41:22
T-Mobile is ok if you live in a major area, outside of that, not so much.

How can someone ask niantic to erase a pokestop? its virtual property, if some *** makes a mess on that spot then its police job to come and apply order, niantic have nothing to do with it.

Niantic is encouraging the player to visit those locations via the game rewards systems/game design. In most cases, it's great for business. But some businesses may not want the additional foot traffic on/near their property. So going directly to the source would solve the issue the fastest.
Police don't even have to get involved. Sure they could come and "apply order", but honestly, lol. We're talking kids playing a virtual video game. Do you want your local police department making visits on local businesses for kids hanging out "playing pokemon"?. They have better things to do.
If that weren't enough, by the time the cops get there, the kids are already gone. waste of time.
Which brings me to my last point (which I'll probably take heat for): I seriously feel like Pokémon Go wasn't necessarily designed for "kids". I often see scores of pre-teen kids wandering around playing PGO. I feel like 17+ is more appropriate, due to what is involved. But meh, I'm just an old goat.

I recently upgraded phone and no longer have problems, I'm thinking 1GB RAM just won't cut it for Pokemon Go.

Sorry but I started Recently and got several questions (Most likely alot of noob questions for you guys but please answer it the best you can):
1)What is better to consider when keeping a Pokemon (CP or Attacks it has?)
2)What is a good way to lvl up Fast ?
3)What is a good CP lvl to have (Please State at trainer lvl 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 , 25 , 30 , 35 , 40)
4)How to Actually Win a Poke Gym (I May have been too vague on this, but How do you use special Attacks ? How you Avoid enemy Attacks ? how do you attack ?)
5)When is the best time to catch Pokemon ? does it affect which type there is ?
6)Which Eggs has what pokemon and % of Pokemon that comes from Each
7)Is it better to lvl up a pokemon from Stage 1 -> 2 -> 3 or Stage
2 -> 3 ?
8) Is it better to use Stardust (to Enhance) then Evolve or does
it not make a difference?
9)after Certain Whether does it increase the chance of encountering pokemon of that type ? (after it rains = more water pokemon / after a Gale = more flying pokemon / after snow fall = more ice type )
10)Where to get a Pikachu ? (besides beginning of the game)
11)Do you know any information about Updates (such as adding more Pokemons from 2nd and other Generation) or Systems Updates (Such as Fishing , Breading , Fighting , Trading , ETC........)

1)What is better to consider when keeping a Pokemon (CP or Attacks it has?)
If its a dragonite. jk, combination of IVs, HP, CP, and moveset.
2)What is a good way to lvl up Fast ?
Evolution hording aka pidgey spam during lucky eggs
3)What is a good CP lvl to have (Please State at trainer lvl 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 , 25 , 30 , 35 , 40)
Doesn't matter, you won't really do much battling at this lvl anyways. Focus on leveling up first.
Cant be sure. Don't think anyone is level 40 yet. But around the 25-30. a great CP pokemon should have 2500-3000CP. I'll wait for someone who has one to confirm (I'm only lvl23)
4)How to Actually Win a Poke Gym (I May have been too vague on this, but How do you use special Attacks ? How you Avoid enemy Attacks ? how do you attack ?)
You dodge by swiping left and right. enemies attack every 1.5 seconds, and certain moves can be timed to avoid their animation. Takes practice. Using your spammable attack is done by just tapping. After filling your energy gauge (blue bar below your health during battle) you can press and hold for a longer special attack that does more damage, but takes longer to activate. It also leaves you vulnerable to an attack. You can check how many times you can do the special attack in succession by looking at the bars in your menu. A pokemon with 3 blue bars means he can do 3 special attacks when the meter is charged. 1 bar means he can use 1 special attack, and will need to refill it before using it again.
5)When is the best time to catch Pokemon ? does it affect which type there is ?
Some people say 2am....that's when all of the dragonite's pop.
6)Which Eggs has what pokemon and % of Pokemon that comes from Each
Should research this. Various sites have them listed. Try Sylph Road.
7)Is it better to lvl up a pokemon from Stage 1 -> 2 -> 3 or Stage
2 -> 3 ?
Its better to get higher level and catch a higher CP pokemon. In most cases, unless you're factoring a good IV (Individual Value) pokemon. In that case, that 4-8% boost might be worth your while, but in most cases, it isn't worth the candy expenditure.
8) Is it better to use Stardust (to Enhance) then Evolve or does
it not make a difference?
You can use stardust prior or post evolution, I believe it just affects the modifier on on the evolution. So evolving a 100 pidgey may only produce 250 pidgeotto, where a 150 pidgey may produce a 310 pidgeotto. In either case, I'd always recommend saving your stardust and not spending it on....anything (until you're ready to take on gyms). Also, don't waste your stardust on fodder pokemon. Its just a waste and you'll realize the pokemon can't compete at higher levels.
9)after Certain Whether does it increase the chance of encountering pokemon of that type ? (after it rains = more water pokemon / after a Gale = more flying pokemon / after snow fall = more ice type )
I cannot confirm weather, but check Sylph Road website. They claim weather does not affect spawn rates, but that conditions do. So being near a beach or water spawns more water pokemon (I can attest to this also). Being in the desert country tends to spawn more fire pokemon. And so on. Check your sources to see what others are saying though.
10)Where to get a Pikachu ? (besides beginning of the game)
Catch one in the wild or hatch one. Also, good luck!
I'm guessing electric pokemon are more common near power plants? Could try those areas (lol)
11)Do you know any information about Updates (such as adding more Pokemons from 2nd and other Generation) or Systems Updates (Such as Fishing , Breading , Fighting , Trading , ETC........)
None yet. Should just follow Reddit forums and Niantic's official pages. Likely they will be your source for game info. Also, youtube is your friend. Lots of garbage channels out there, so you may have to review quite a few until you find a good source of information. Like I said, Sylph road appears to be on the ball, but there are others.
Happy Pokehunting!

Jiko, lol, kill yourself for missing Dragonite.
I would expect a fix for PokeMesh coming soon. It actually was a pretty good ap. PokePro as well. But since C&D orders are going out, and I feel like nobody wants to have to deal with that, the current workaround is to just hack the google api via Pokémon Go Desktop Map. Archaic, but functional for the moment.
I'm pretty good on Dragonites atm

How do you have these pokemon? I can't even get Eevees, I'm nowhere near even getting Dragonites, my only saving grace is my Snorlax is slightly better than yours.

Traveling, mainly. Daytrips to large cities where nests are located.
If I could show you everything I have noteworthy, I would, but that's too much spam for here >.>;
Eevees are a dime a dozen here. I have about 14 Eevolutions atm, not including the ones I turned into candy for low IVs.

Saw a Dratini on nearby today at lunch but I only had 30 mins so I couldn't launch a county-wide search.

I have to ask, I searched for sometime and I couldn't find any definite answer, and I dont fully trust the egg guide on this, but can you really hatch, for example, a region locked Mr. Mime from an egg in NA? I don't know, nor have I saw a legit hatch of any regional locked pokemon from a region not unique to said pokemon. I saw Taurus hatched in NA and Mr. Mimes in Europe... but not the reverse anywhere. Even Reddit is in the air regarding this. Does anyone know anybody or heard of anybody that this has happened to?

Also, I do want to say this self map is not terrible. My biggest gripe is how slow the damn scanning is. by the time it gets back around to where my location is, the timer is already almost up. Such an annoyance.

when the screen goes black after a little bit (power save type of thing) does distance still track for eggs? If you mean the in-game power saving option that activates when your phone is upside down, then yes--it's supposed to continue tracking distance. The feature has caused a lot of crashes though, so I haven't used it since day one.

im not sure if its the in game feature doing that or not. While i do have the power saving featuer that i found in game turned on, even when the game is not running my phone does this on its own.

I can't speak for Android devices, but iPhones shouldn't be going to sleep (i.e. locked screen after a time delay) while the game is running--I'd turn off the in-game power saver and see if it still happens. If so, something might be wrong with your phone. Distance is definitely not tracked while the phone is sleeping/locked.

Oh hey, apparently there was an update today. :o
Niantic said: Pokémon GO has been updated to version 1.3.0. Below are some release notes and comments:

- Fixed a bug that prevented "Nice," "Great," and "Excellent" Poké Ball throws from awarding the appropriate experience bonuses
- Fixed achievements showing incorrect Medal icons
- Enabled the ability for Trainers to change their nickname one time, so please choose your new nickname wisely
- Resolved issues with the battery saver mode and re-enabled this feature
- Added visuals of Team leaders - Candela, Blanche and Spark
- We're currently testing a variation of the "Nearby Pokémon" feature with a subset of users. During this period you may see some variation in the nearby Pokémon UI.

Some quick notes.
quick noticing.
-Tracking is working to an extent. You have to be around the area, and facing the direction of the pokemon for it to show up on your radar. If you are close enough and not facing it, it will still show.
This doesn't seem to be 100%. Im about 2 blocks away, with a bulbasaur behind me, and it was still showing on the radar. More testing needed.
Curveball accuracy is still a load of ***. 12 ultra curved balls and I missed catching a Blastoise and bulbasaur. :\
I caught a pokemon, I /DID NOT/ get curveball bonus. Edit: I attempted again, I did receive it this time around.
7 pokemon I ran into, 4 ran.

grass ruffling always means a pokemon is nearby and may spawn soon.
They don't always spawn, though.
So they just announced this:

I realize the game itself won't look anything like this until maybe a decade or two of updates, if ever. Even so, I am happy to be alive in this day and age.
For perspective, it is very reminscent but NOT TO BE CONFUSED with Google's April Fool's joke:
