The more money they can get out of something, the more it seems to flourish in some regards. High pressure, low volume shower heads - Saves money, saves water, makes you feel good for saving the environment. Low energy, white light producing light bulbs - saves electricity, saves money, better lighting. Innovative technology (back then, but is starting to make a huge impact as consumer demand grows) Pretty much most new tech that is saving the environment, can in some way be attributed to conservative values, while appealing to certain liberal ideologies. A good way to have your cake and eat it too - and it is becoming more affordable as it becomes more efficient to make at reduced costs because they are lasting longer.

And Hulk Hogan has stepped out of his element a lot in the past. Remember back when he was fired from the WWF, and came back as Mr America?
