So, I love my daughter. She's really awesome and I can't wait to see what kind of mischief she gets up to later.
However, I think her new enemy is really her friend and she disagrees with me, vehemently. She has a new objection to Mr. Sandman. She doesn't like him. Not sure why, but her objections are firmly given. If I try to introduce him via singing, rocking, or swaddling I receive a look of betrayal followed by a rapidly increasing decible of a what I used to think of as a sweet cry. Now, I'm just impressed with her lungs. She also feels the need to do everything as quickly as possible. She is 5 weeks today and she's trying to rollover. I laid her down in the crib and then watched her roll from side to side. It was midnight~ so I blinked a little, but nope she kept doing it. At ~03:00 I told Mil about this and he didn't believe me. Later, 07:00~, we watched her do this together. I felt vindicated....then I realized this means we probably need to start the whole baby proofing the house thing. Mr. Sandman is not her friend though. It's the one thing you hope she makes her friend so you can cuddle back up with him too. Too bad for you sucker!

Some might find this funny So, how is everyone? Fighting the sleep, huh? No fun for you! LOL! While Lukas was teething, we had problems getting him to sleep. My mom suggested diluted Chamomile tea (along with the Oragel, but that doesn't apply here) to avoid making a habit of Tylenol, unless he actually ran a fever. That's exciting! Before you know it, you'll have someone scaling the crib! Looks like you two are going to be bolting bookshelves and baby-bumpering every edge.

Just rub whiskey on the gums! (I wouldn't do that to my kid, taste is a bit rough).
IMO it's better than prescription/off the counter drugs. We keep having a problem with the extended family doing whatever and not respecting our wishes, and it doesn't help that the other parent has no backbone to stand up to her family.
