Out of curiosity, was there some kind of gilseller census showing this or is it one of those things that is somehow just common knowledge?

Great! Good things happen when the Government steps in and makes something that was making good money illegal. >.>

We all know drugs have been illegal forever, people still do it, and money is still made from it.

We wont be hearing the end of this anytime soon. If anything i expect it to get worse.

*Disclaimer: I do not support gil selling.

Does anyone else realize that we could be incredibly selfish in saying things like, "Thank god," because of this? All we're thinking about is that there is going to be no more farmers, and now our game will improve and be better.

Now think of the gil seller side. It is now illegal to sell virtual good for money. This is a multi-million dollar industry, about to disappear. Where are these people going to work and how is this going to affect the economy? Hundreds of people are going to lose their jobs while we get online and grin with happiness that they're gone.

Think twice before you smile. *end rant

I wouldn't expect a big change...they'll just move operations somewhere else. Too much money to be made in it, honestly...

I don't see this changing much of anything. As long as there is a demand for it, someone will be there to supply it.

So China bans it? Now we'll have more Indian/Korean/US/Canadian/Atlantian or w/e GS/RMT

You think this will help much at all? I thought china was already supposed to be "locked down" compared to most places when it came to internet and accessability.

LOL!!! I mean it's nice you're being noble and all. But I don't see this changing much of anything. People will still find ways to do what they want if they try hard enough.
