Is there a list somewhere of spells directly affected by Blue Magic skill? Such as Occultation's number of shadows, Diamondhide's amount of damage taken, etc?
Can anyone confirm that you can get Store TP +8 with Fern Stones for Odyssean and Valorous pieces, like the wiki says? I threw about 500 stones without seeing anything over 7.
Think someone said it was basically Occultation, magic barrier, and the hp drain spells
Well there's diamondhide and restoral too. I guess I can click on every spell and figure it out. I couldn't believe a wiki page would have a convenient list.
We discussed some of the skill-related spells here
JP wiki confirms about as much as we know. Metallic Body, HP absorb spells, Magic Barrier, Occultation shadows, Diamondhide, and magic accuracy for enfeebling Blue Magic. Also, Cold Wave (lol)
They provide the formula for it too
The relationship between magical blue magic and blue magic skills is diverse.
Attribute attack type blue magic By increasing the
blue magic skill , the magic hit rate increases. The power does not change.
The blue magic skill does not affect the power because it is a modification by the breath blue magic
HP . Only the magic hit rate changes.
Weak system Blue magic Affects
magic accuracy . Effect depth For, Afuruai - cold wave some, such as blue magic skills but is also known to be affected by, and most become fixed.
Affects the amount of damage absorbed by the enhanced blue magic
metal body , Kongo body, and magic barrier , and the number of illusions in the occultation .
Recovery type blue magic The amount of
recovery varies depending on the blue magic skill and the recovery magic skill .
Absorption-type blue The amount of absorption increases as the magic
skill increases. Please refer to the [ Absorption-type blue magic ] section for calculation formulas .
Sound Blast lowers INT, Awful Eye and Maelstrom lowers STR, Stinking Gas lowers VIT, Cold Wave lowers AGI. I think only Cold Wave is a percentage, or the value of attribute down is not listed. Would have to check the wiki
edit: Actually I just remembered that the frost slip/agi down from Cold Wave is based on Blue Magic Skill, so it's not really a percentage decrease of AGI per se. I don't know of any Blue spells that are actually a flat percentage to attribute.
Most of the values for blu spells have been available in my spell directory forever now (and most of it has been brought over to bgwiki), for future reference. Don't have to go digging or guessing for things like diamondhide's HP cap.
There are no blue magic spells that reduce base stats by a percentage, which is good for lower level things but bad for high level ones. Cold Wave would be a very viable spell if the duration wasn't stuck at 30 seconds. Searing Tempest can be worthwhile depending on the application.
Also just saw this part but Cold Wave has nothing to do with skill. The AGI reduction is based on level, -49 @ lv 99 (level/2) and the DoT is (AGI Down - 3)/2, so 23 @ 99.
If you count Apex mobs, Apex Cogs to up to 147. The level 133 Velkk in Woh are considered Apex mobs.
If you don't count Apex mobs, but do count instances, Sheol C normal mobs go up to 135. Incursion mobs might go up to like 140 if you have a maxed out KI, but I'm not sure on that count.
If you don't count either, then it should be Inner Ra'Kaznar non-Apex mobs, which go up to 124.
So what did they end up saying that this thing in the sky was again? It's been a hot minute since I did a full WotG run and am forgetting. Put it in spoilers if people still have not played through, I guess... as if anything is a spoiler, it's asking about a relevant thing to a main mission line plot.

Has anyone ever used Application Mover program to move FFXI from one hard drive to another? Wondering if I can do this instead of having to reinstall the whole thing for someone.
Are Pummeler's Mufflers bonus to Retaliation only active when being worn, or just on activation of JA? I recall it had to be worn, but the wiki's dont have the answer so I'd like to add it.

Not familiar with the software you've mentioned, but Google Search: Symbolic Link
Might be an option for you. You're basically creating a shortcut or a pointer of sorts from where the program is installed now, and pointing to where you moved it. I did this once with a couple of games because the C drive was getting full and I wanted them moved without a reinstall.
For those of you that visit Bg you already know the premise of this thread but for those that don't, it's simple.

If your answer is on the large side either providing a link or spoilering the answer might be a good idea to help reduce the thread size.
