edit: And I hope it isn't anything too serious Jet, that is no bueno!
laceration, about 2 inches, 3 internal, 5 external stitches, cut to the muscle, didn't whack an artery so I didn't need a transfusion :D
it doesn't even hurt, short of it stinging here and there, most of my body is in worse pain just from average work.
I just have to make sure it doesn't get infected and I go get the stitches removed, also luckily it was while I was working, so workers comp will have to cover it woohoo! (I wasn't doing anything silly either, I hit my arm decently hard on a thin blunt stainless steel edge, crazy, didn't even notice til I saw the blood.
I don't, Disney is one of the largest abusers of copyright laws, abusing their existence to restrict innovation, I'll pirate them more than most.
It tears me apart. I want to support Disney and Pixar for quality work, and I want to boycott them because they are one of the leading douchebags in the copyright fields.
Yay~ GF went out of state for the week... thought I was going to be bored and do nothing for the 4th but my friends invited me to his house for a good party :3 May go pick up a few more packs of fireworks but I dunno yet.

I know how you feel, if only there were a way to pay the workers directly skipping the corporate suits that are the douchebags...

hmm.
That's the model I support.
It's why I usually buy downloads directly from the source whenever possible.

OUCH. :-( I'm so sorry Jet! I've had stitches only twice in my life, but both times were inside my mouth so they were well-protected all the time. I can't even imagine having stitches somewhere outside where they'd bump into every single thing and be painful all the time. ;; Get well soon!
I haven't seen Brave yet. I'll probably wait until it's out on DVD, then buy it. :D I love Pixar and Disney movies! Probably it won't measure up to Wall-E, but that's ok. ^^ (I haven't paid attention to how Disney/Pixar treats employees and whatnot, and I'm too naturally nervous to be much of a pirate.)
I stress the might though since you've said you don't like the female characters to show weakness... Best way I can describe the character is to say that she breaks, each time worse then the last, and each time has to conquer it and comes back to kick some ***. Shes not intended to be the main character for the first 2 books but imo she compleatly overshadows the intended main character even if she has a bit less page time.
Only other things I'll warn you about are that some scenes are a bit on the graphic side (idk what your standard for graphic is) and that the backs of the books have rage inducing spoilers for the previous books XD
Edit: I base the suggestion off you having said you like strong woman leads and magic :P
I don't mind if the women have weaknesses, as long as they don't depend on someone guy somewhere to come bail their bums out of trouble all the time. That series looks really good! Thanks :D
Edit: Or I should say instead of saying I like strong female leads, is that I dislike passive female leads. I like female characters that I would be friends with if they existed. Does that make any sense? If they just sit there and let everything happen to them and do nothing for themselves, I'm not going to get along with them. If they at least TRY, then I will probably like them. Even if they fail. Like Bella Swan. (I know, I know, Twilight gets so much hate, but hear me out.) If Bella Swan was a real person and she went to my high school, she would not be my friend. I find her passive, I find her boring. If Kitty Norville or Mercy Thompson were real people and they went to my school, I would want to be friends with them because they are exciting, they take control of their lives, they don't leave their fate and happiness up to someone else. Even though Kitty was beaten down, raped, and run out of town in her first book. Even though Mercy gets smacked around all the time. They get hurt, they need help sometimes, but they get back up and they keep trying. That probably only makes sense to me and looks like gibberish to everyone else. xD
Yeh she's pritty self dependent for the most part, and when she does get support I'd think she was a robot if she didn't need it... She gets pissed when the guy character gets all protective.
Edit to your edit: I don't think you could count her as passive for the most part... theres some points where she does end up in the depressed stage but like I said, she breaks, she rebuilds her resolve, she kicks *** XD
Why is it every single time I decide I'm going to cook something everyone decides that their goddamned life depends on crowding the kitchen and making it impossible to move around.
Liela, your edit made sense. Even without the examples, I got what you meant.
I kind of wonder if you'd like the series (well, a series of books within a series... What would you call that?) of books that I like.
It's hard to explain the whole thing without going into spoiler mode. :(
But basically, it's three books that follow a female main character and a male main character (supporting roles toward each other, but not totally dependent, and it's not a romantic relationship).
The series is The Word & The Void.
Eh, you know what... Here's the Wikipedia page. It gives a general overview. It also has a chart that shows the chronological order all the books occur in (but from an "understanding the significance of certain events" standpoint, I would recommend reading them in the "intended" order/order they were written.)
Oh and in regards to another post... In my experience, stitches don't hurt, even in places that get a lot of exposure/movement.
Yay~ GF went out of state for the week... thought I was going to be bored and do nothing for the 4th but my friends invited me to his house for a good party :3 May go pick up a few more packs of fireworks but I dunno yet.
Im sure you have the fun fireworks, the ones that go above 6ft. Im stuck in oregon with ***fireworks QQ
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
