Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

Are other servers experiencing terrible lag today? On Lakshmi everyone's R keeps dropping to 0 every once in a while, red dots when you zone, and some people just can't login at all. Been like this all day.

all day yes, even some on Bismarck, XI and pol been crappy. guessing XIV people too, so SE's end likely or something connecting to them.

So, I was taking that nap before work.

And within that nap I had a dream. A bad one.

I dreamed I was onboard a bus. Maybe a trip.

Suddenly the bus started to change direction. There was a wall in front, but the bus was going toward the side of that wall.

In that dream, I saw it coming, and I knew we would hit in. But no, we just went faster to the left. Maybe the driver managed to make a detour, escaping the collision .

Bad news is that to the side, there was a beach, but somehow it felt like the beach was several meters below the road. In other words, the bus was falling from a high place.

In my mind, I was prepared for the impact, wondering how much of the fall would be cushioned by the bus structure and how much I would take as a direct damage.

While falling, I heard someone desperately screaming, and that was the first moment I felt like we were in a tragic setup.

I wondered what would be next? Excruciating pain? Afterlife? What would it be?

But as expected, I woke up.

And maybe this is the key to those paradoxical multidimensional setups. Maybe there is not a parallel multiverse, but a single threaded one. The moment you die, right before that you will just wake up either as yourself in a different moment in time, or as someone else, entirely different, that wont carry on your memories, just the last few moments before your demise.

This infinite loop of realities being overlapped ultimately ends up in the wake of the "original being", the first one who dreamed about all of that. The creator of the universe who didn't create anything.

It just dreamed about that

Sony's State of Play is about to kick off.

I was having issues all day today. Not sure if it was related to the storms in the GTA area or just the seasonal "hop between California and Japan took a massive ***".

Took me three hours to get through two Temenos runs though between the multiple disconnections and my characters constantly falling behind when running through.

Its cleared up though.

More free single player content for Ghost of Yotei, a year later. Even bringing back the lead from Tsushima.

Woke up to 2.8 million people hating my AI stuff on Twitter... I did it... I did it...

Ironically, more than half of those people were actually bots!

Yesterday I watched some videos talking about the "AI watermark".

Supposelly some governmemt deciding that every AI content must like be able to be recognized by software.

It just pisses me how stupid people do stupid thing for stupid reason.

And Im not talking about being distinguisable. IDC if they want to call something AI or not.

My problem is knowing something was altered in the output only to satisfy this requirements, because this watermark is one of the most obscure things I heard recently

I think a watermark on AI is the best way to deal with it. (not sure how you deal with music)

People who engagement farm, propagandize, or are just lazy content creators or (insert AI pet peeve)

Of course there's so much slop out there and people who do those things will surely use software that won't put the watermark in so ....

That said, I just watched a video about a milenial "analyzing" why boomers consume AI slop.



I do think what this guy is saying is garbage, but I leave for anyone to have their own conclusions, or their own opinions.

It is legitimately amazing how good silo (the show) is.

The show/movie are almost never better than the book but god damn they really do such a good job.

I really thought the flashback sections would drag and they do a bit but theyre short and to the point, where the book goes long. And all the changes work. They don't add random ***to subvert expectations they just expand and enhance. That's unheard of anymore.

I couldn't get through the pilot, but maybe I will try again.

The last episode is apparently the highest rated appletv series episode ever

Definitely starts slow but the mystery inception does happen pretty quick. Everytime you get an answer you just have more questions. All the way to the end.

Mild spoiler,

I just don't trust shows like that because of Lost.

It's the journey! You got years of good lost till they bone the ending.

The very end of silo is.... kinda disappointing... but everything up to it, awesome.

It was more like, 2 years of pointless Lost, then 2 years of good lost, then 2 years of declining Lost.

I know no 1 cares about this but am finally putting down XI forever.

Nice. I finished S2 months ago, and I'm just done with Person of Interest (loved it! with minor gripes). Sounds like a good time to go back to Silo.


You mean shows that ride on their mystery while dragging the audience with shitty filler subplots out of nowhere that nobody asked for? Yeah that was why I dropped From and Severance.

I'm no TV connoisseur, but it seems to me that modern TV series are plagued by corporate decisions like "hey this show's S1 was a massive hit, make sure it stays alive for at least 3 more seasons so we can keep milking it", so we end up getting a bloated product instead of one that prioritizes its artistic integrity. Might have been that way for a while now. IDK. Seems to be the standard nowadays unless the series has an accomplished showrunner at the helm like Vince Gilligan.
