kill me now, i've been reading this stupid chapter for going on 3 hours now and i'm only about halfway through. this is a rediculous length for a chapter
GAH! I can't get slacker to work anymore. Just yesterday it was working fine, now today I click the program to start it and instantly "Slacker.exe has stopped working and needs to close blah blah" comes up. Reinstall didn't help, starting to wonder if it's something to do with fface.dll
For those that don't keep up with ffxi programs, slacker is essentially yarnball v2.

its not even programming, i could handle programming. its OS concepts. and the chapter is mainly about the history of windows operating systems, including the servers, and so far im only to windows server 2003/R2
Do what I did for every time I had to read a chapter for a class. Go to the end of the chapter, read the "highlights" section and look up an overview/summary online. Was enough to get me an A.
-early computer operating systems were primitive compared to current computer operating systems, but they were significant during their time and muved us toward a desktop computing environment. server operating systems followed to allow for file sharing and printing.
-the windows, macintosh, and unix operating systems are popular current operating systems, with new releases being announced on a regular basis. each release has new features and enhancements.
-server operating systems have evolved to allow clustering, virtual servers, self-healing NTFS, storage manager for SANS, single sign-on, network management, and security features.
-mac os x is built on darwin unix, which is a distribution of the bsd unix version. with the release of snow leopard, the operating system runs only on intel-based chips.
Lookin at Dark Souls, might get it cuz Fable 3 is done (not like it was fun lol, was more just to waste time) and Skyrim isn't really fun tbh cuz navigating threw the areas is impossible... looks like that game could be fun and has potential to keep me home and occupied, true story?

I've heard Dark Souls is good, but I've never played it myself. Just curious but what is hard about navigating in Skyrim?

I love games that make you rage big time, even though I usually end up throwing the controller across my room. It does nothing but make me keep playing because I have to show it who's boss and beat it.

I'd usually agree.

There is no all areas map, just a compass that shows current Quests. I also sold my dragon bones and stuff before I got the strategy guide... seen in it that I can make the best gear from it so ya... kinda angering about that one, I don't really remember nor can really find it where I sold them either.
Dragons become a dime a dozen later on also if you only have one quest active the compass points you right where to go.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
