Loving Dark Matter so far, and season 2 goes beyond the story in the book. I believe the author is involved, and the story is good so far.

I currently live on the twelfth floor.

i wanna sell an older statue on ebay. I go to find original pictures and they are gone because its been so long. So I go to the ebay listings and they all have their stupid watermarks on. So I ask AI to remove it and post the pictures. Why do ppl bother with watermarks anymore lol

Bittersweet because I finished my 100% file for Elden Ring. All bosses, farmed or collected every single weapon, armor, spell, ash etc. and tried over 30 NG builds. Easily the best single player action RPG of all time. But now, actually nothing left to discover.

They shut down all the private servers creating custom content at 60 cap (classic) to make their own. Wish someone else in the MMO business would do it.

New race, new zones, lvl cap set at 60, new stories it sounds like. I don't play WoW but it's interesting seeing them lean into the classic stuff

The blue elves is an immediate no for me, if I want classic that means no new races, or classes added to races like undead paladin. Still, seems a better business strategy.

WoW isn't better, it just fits the idea of classic better because it was designed to be episodic. XI classic would be DoA. There is no patch you could point to in vanilla as being the point where the game would be viable as a standalone. I don't think just using the update prior to level uncapping is fair representation of 'classic XI'.

It's not perfect but there is probably an official version that caters to your favorite era or playstyle (classic, hardcore, anniversary, retail, and now forever). I'm sure the people interested in classic+ do want changes like that, which is a win for them.

Season of Discovery was the only version of these that got shut down that I'm aware of, and it was kind of the stepping stone for a lot of classic+ stuff.

The main point was that Blizzard saw how huge Turtle Wow was (Horizon is easily comparable to FFXI here) and took steps to try to get these fans back and paying money.

So in the incoming story for 8.0 of FFXIV, they've given us a world where people live in giant airship colonies.

Like the Quarian Migrant Fleet or anything similar.

Catch: All inhabitants are branded and bound to their, "Realmships." If they try to interact with any other Realmship branded persons, they die.

There isn't an 8.0 preview site yet, the details so far are scattered between fanfests and letters from the producer. When the preview site goes live one of the XIV players here should link it.

FF4 Red Wings are my favorite of the series, though FF9 comes close.

No idea where the story stands in XIV these days, didn't do any Dawnwalker at all. Maybe in 10 years when the free trial catches up to that expansion.

lol google AI helped me fix my gearswap issues. Maybe I was too harsh on AI!

Sometimes I need to be harsh with it so it stop hallucinating.

But I always praise it when it says I'm correct, that I'm wonderful and I'm hot.

That is the old carrot and stick.

BTW, I'm thinking in temporarily upgrade my Claude Pro sub to Max, at least for a month.

PantonicVideo is past the point that 20% of development gives me 80% of deliveries.

Unfortunately PV last extensions are being considerably longer and costing more.

I need to be fair though, like any software, the more you receive, more you ask, and that "more" gets increasingly more complex to both explain to AI and for AI to reason and write the proper code.

My latest extension is already taking 3 sprints to conclude, and the AI is having a hard time to get it right, and I acknowledge because I'm not properly explaining.

It is a learning process for me figuring the points where AI really sucks, so I can enter the stage and mediate the issue. My current requirements are complex enough that it is not enough to let AI to work by itself. I need to more often validate each small steps to make sure its right.

That is why I'm thinking in temporarily increase the tokens to get this last extension right and delivered. Took me 3 sprints, but I kinda figured my own mistakes, and feels like now I can get it right.
