My dogs are trying to lick me to death. >< I have really dry skin, and it's worse in the winter. I've tried lotion and chapstick and it doesn't really help. So I moved on to putting straight vaseline on my hands and lips. My lips are starting to feel better* but my hands still crack and bleed all over. So my husband gave me a can of mink oil he uses on his boots and I started putting that on my hands. If that stuff doesn't work, nothing is ever going to work! But now my pups smell mink oil on me and think it's their patriotic duty to lick it off. D:
*I had to change my effin' sheets the other morning because my lips bled all over my pillowcase in the night. Dratted stinkin' blood-holed pieces of pie-munching crud!
sorta lol not skyrim related.
so today i needed to cut/apply some vinyl and apply it to other stuff.
masking that ***was np, until I got to mask and apply a directional arrow, so every time I would try to mask it with Transfer Tape, SOMETHING would go wrong and mess up.
basically had to cut 5 arrows just to get 1 right >:|
Try soaking until you're all wrinkly in a hot bathtub?
And chapstick is a conspiracy, the more you use it, the more dry your lips get without it, and the more you have to use it. I haven't used it in like a year (well I used that blistex stuff in the little blue canister) and my lips are fine, but when I was using it all the time I was constantly peeling layers of skin off my lips.

Maybe I'll try the bath. :o Do you put something in particular in the water to help? Olive oil or anything like that?

:x I was being nice. Though I suppose I shouldn't worry about such things. She honestly sounds crazy and I would regret spending anymore than a few hours with her I'm sure. >.<;
Liela, you'll want to use a heavy moisturizing sope if you plan on doing multiple long hot baths. Tap water can dry out your skin just as much as cold weather if you take to many long showers or baths. Olay has a few good ones for that.
Out of the shower you should get a Aloe Vera + Buttermilk type body lotion. Something that absorbs deep into the skin and heals. Aloe vera is a very good natural moisturizer on it's own, but the ones with buttermilk will keep your skin soft.

I'll try aloe and buttermilk. Thanks Dreadnot! It's got to smell a right sight better than mink oil, at any rate, and it sounds like it would really help.
Poor Irohuro. We all have crazy aunts, but at least I don't have to live with mine! /comfort

Sorry had to go get dinner started (Chicken Fried Steak & Mashed Potatoes with Country Gravy and French Fried Green Beans)..
Nah I never use anything special in the bathtub, although I know they make like bath salts and stuff dry skin, might try to see about getting some of those? I dunno how well they work, or if they work at all though.
french style green beans make sense but.... french fried green beans? and is it chicken style steaks? or steak style chicken?
Chicken style? You mean chicken fried steak? It's either chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken. You headin' to 'bammer at some point?
Also, this kid's got his dead mom lying about with her entrails doing dark sacraments and human skulls lying all over the place. When I was his age I was playing Magic the Gathering and listening to Pearl Jam...
Oh man, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans... yummmmmm! All we're having tonight is chicken fajitas. xD
When I have fajitas I prefer steak.
Steak is pretty good, but I'm not big on red meat so much. It tastes just... meh. Unless it's marinated or prepared special or something. I like fish much butter, salmon and crab are my favorite! And chicken. Fish > chicken > venison > beef.
Oh god, I just realized I'm a fussy eater. D: I hate fussy eaters!

I like pretty much all meat.. I'm not a huge fan of crab, but when I say crab I'd be talking about local crab I caught myself, which is just blue crab
Eating the stuff in the body just kinda disgusts me, so all that I really 'like' off them are the pincers. Same problem for me and crawfish, when someone sucks on the heads I'm just like "OMG, eww!"

Don't be hating on yourself. Accept the fussy eaters of the world!
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
