Never follow this game nor heard of it. The moment I saw the video my immediate impression was "this art style looks like a Chinese game".

Some Google search shows that I was totally right lol. Chinese games really like to look the same...

Why do you dislike Chinese people making games?

I don't care who made the game, it could be blue haired feminists for all I care. All I care about is if the game is good, does not have bs in it and I like it.

I played the demo and I really enjoyed it, if you refuse to play it cause it was made by Chinese people or the character has white hair that's strange but you do you.

Is there any technical reason why youre using Windows 7?

I bought a new computer last year and only use it for new games (I don't use it that much tbh), I have the windows 7 computer setup purely for XI and it's perfect and plays 6 instances of 11 flawlessly with no lag. Also bought components for it off Ebay to keep it going as long as possible.

I'm not gonna stop using a computer that I took good care of and that works well for the 22 year old game I play on it, cause of a windower. If the developers of XI updated the game with new stuff then I would accept it, but not for a launcher that works right now for what I want it to do.

That ppl are still playing ff11 in the first place should be an indication that it appeals to some who don't like change, or updating for the sake of it. Especially not when the newer versions are worse than what is already available.

Updating to windows 11 from 7 is very similar to moving to ff14 from ff11, nah though.

I didn't say I dislike Chinese people making games, I said they often look the same. And I dislike the "same style fatigue" that I am experiencing from endless YouTube Chinese gacha ads. And now this same old gacha art style is invading single player game space which is just lame.

Another random mobile game ad that I just saw, out of maybe 100 same-y looking new games per month.



If you look at Japanese anime game art, they mostly look different.
Ni no Kuni, SaGa, Kingdom Hearts, Disgaea series, Dragon Quest, Lost Odyssey etc all look drastically different from each other, featuring each character designer's style.

Chinese anime game industry only has one popular style and everyone copies it. And they mass produced the same style over and over, it's easy to get tired from seeing it all the time.

I'll support western games when they stop making crap, till then Winnie the Pooh ftw.

I've played 3 games since 2025 so far, all 3 are western games. I was considering buying Xbox series S for more western games on game pass.

I think what matters the most in entertainment product is novelty. Once you are exposed to one particular style too much, you want something different.

By the way, one of the western game that I recently completed is Mass Effect 2. And one of the romance-able female character looks like this.

Well, I think I was pretty open about it before.


I mean I am open for the possibility that I can be wrong about Chinese creative industry, and I'll happily embrace my dream game made by Chinese if it happened. But I don't see it happening soon.

She looks like that for a reason. She is a great character.

Also that's an old game, we used to be good at making games.



Reddit is good for some things, many subs are fine. However the biggest problem is that it's a outrageously bad website for creating forced cowardly conformity. It teaches people to self censor out of fear of rate downs, when in reality they mean nothing.

The original intent was to rate down poor quality posts, now it's nothing more than a "I disagree" button for morons. If you want to say something, say it. If it makes people mad, fk em and just double down on it.

Yeah but I think because my account didn't have many posts, it caused my "karma"to go under 15. Now anything i post has an auto delete. Basically silenced because people disagree with me, even though it wasn't trolling or anything hateful. Lame honestly lol I can't even reply to people relying to me. It even says i can go to some sites to farm my karma like what

So apparently the problem isn't "female character doesn't look attractive" at all. The problem is just writing quality. A problem that can happen to Asian games too. (I've dropped countless Asian games in the past for this reason too.)

Don't know why you have to target games from specific region instead of the content.
