To be fair we were always technically Nidhogg since the entire essence of becoming a Dragoon is imparting ourselves with a portion of Nidhogg's power 0:

Idk brah. The eye shined for us, as well as Estinien, but we got all our powers without it in our possession. All the Nidhogg stuff was with Estinien cause of the eye. We didn't get none o that. Doubly so for the Heavensward questline, which didn't involve Nidhogg at all, perhaps indirectly with Graoulie being part of his brood.
I mean that, and, the DRG LB3 is Midgardsormr shape. I kind of liked to think that our inner dragon got shaped by the presence of Midgardsormr watching over us more than any other dragon. But then I mean, Hraesvelgr granted us his eye to kill Nidhogg. Idk. /shrug
Another AoE, Fang and Claw and Wheeling Thrust seemingly tied in the same combo, and Penta Thrust. I'll be as many damned evil dragons as I need to be for that.
Holy ***, what, Maim applies the slashing debuff now and not a damage increase? Are they putting the damage increase on Storm's Eye then? What what what? Seems like they're killing WAR softly.

Might to be the case. Path seemed to be used to increase the Beast Gauge.
As much as I love WAR, it's hard to deny that it needed to be toned back. I know Eye gave a buff to the WAR, so it's possible they just swapped Maim and Eye effects. We'll have to wait and see.
Gaining more healing output, but not gaining any super utility/dps like AST and SCH already have.
Which makes makes their relevance in a world first progression raid environment questionable.
Pretty much this. However XIV expansion is going to hit in a month's time, while will absolutely change how the meta is played.
WHM's complaining about their relevance in the new raid meta before any concrete evidence is released with full toolkit of every single job as well how raid mechanics / progression is designed is just hyperbolic whining at this point since everything about tool interaction, party synergy, and raid fights is going to change. For all we know, WHMs new DPS kit will allow them to overpower the utility DPS gains from other kits, this solidifying their slot into the raid meta. *Shrugs* It's just too early to say what exactly will be "meta" until 4.0 is released.
I'm curious how MNK is going to be balanced. They went a little nuts with the team synergy thing and it was already highest ST melee DPS.
I'm curious too. I wonder how their Chakras will interact with each other.
One big thing of concern is the fact that double MNK will reduce LB gain, I believe. Also, does MNK have a second combo action to replace Dragon's Kick? Assuming Dragon's Kick remains the same, only one MNK would need to keep it up. The second should be using something else at that point. I don't know much about the MNK kits as a whole to be honest.
Bootshine shares the same spot as DK, and when there is more than one Monk, one is assigned DK ***, and the other should be doing an Auto Crit Bootshine every time.
Monk's rotation is mad simple. The only hard thing about it is keeping stacks through phase transitions, but that's supposed to be its limiting factor anyway.
Yeah, and that Fists of Earth stance is basically going to let you keep it/refresh it after the big busters if I read the effect right. So they got another way, other than PB/Formshift etc. to make phase transitions more bearable.
This is one playerbase meme I just haven't understood at all. So many people in the last year saying, "Delete Monk. Monk sucks." when it couldn't be further from the truth.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
