If you're gonna drink the ***, you may as well just drink the kind that tastes better. You're putting chemicals/sugars/whateveryoufeelyoudontlikeinthesethatmakeyoudrinkdiet in either way, neither of them are good for you, lol.
i've believed for a while that drinking diet is pretty much worse than drinking regular :|
that said, i also don't drink soda basically at all anymore. unless i go to five guys, then i get something from their *** amazing wizard machine with a million different drinks in it.
Diet sodas are really bad for you, Might as well drink normal ones :c
I remember that myth being popular in Canada too, alongside aspartame causing cancer or causing multiple sclerosis
Bayonetta twoooooooo
It is not a myth. It is a fact (about them being bad for you) :( fake sugars actually make you gain weight. Your body expects sugars but gets none so makes you eat more and crave more. Lots of bad stuff besides the fake sugars too.
Aspartame is made of the two amino acids, (phenylalanine and aspartic acid, which are even made and used in the body naturally) and the alcohol, methanol. All of the health concerns regarding this sweet supplement are a result of what those three things can do to the body.
It was found to have the same calories as sugar but taste 180x sweeter so we can use less of it. Intaking too much of anything can kill you, even water. That doesn't mean you should all just avoid water though.
Intake wasn't really part of the conversation. Most people know, even if they don't practice it, everything in moderation.
No, it really could liquefy the brain, but the loss of sodium, sugars, and omega 3 fatty acids that power the brain, would kill you long before it, or cause severe pain while it's happening.
I'm drinking between 5 and 10 liters a day to stay hydrated. Anything less for me causes severe over heating and dehydration
Not only does aspartame kill off your taste buds, as does any artificial sweetener, although personally every one I've tried tastes very bitter to me, it can also mess up your brain and cellular structure.

As reported before, Aspartame has been shown time and again in studies (the ones not commissioned by the industry) to be bad for you.
Now yet another new study, this one published in the journal Redox Biology, has concluded what lots of other research over the past decades has shown time and again — aspartame, the popular sweetener in over 6,000 grocery store items, including everything from soup mixes to carbonated beverages to chewing gum — can essentially program your brain cells to kill themselves.
Key study findings include:
Aspartame administration alters the functional activity in the brain by elevating the antioxidant levels.
Chronic aspartame consumption altered the neuronal function and neurodegeneration in brain.
Observed changes may be due to the methanol or its metabolite.
Long-term FDA approved daily acceptable intake (40 mg/kg bwt) aspartame administration distorted the brain function and generated apoptosis in brain regions.
Apoptosis is defined as, “the process of programmed cell death in multicellular organisms. Biochemical events lead to characteristic cell changes and death.”
So even at the FDA acceptable levels, consuming this chemical is just not good for you, no matter what the mega food corporations and their lobbies say.
The average glass of wine can have up to 329 mg/l of methanol and your quoting a survey saying

So why aren't you warning people wine is programming their brain cells to kill themselves?
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
