In other news, is the arrest of Julian Assange imminent?

After 12 years (August of 1998), we're still no closer to capturing Bin Laden. But this guy? No problem.

The interests of the political man and the civil man are not compatible :
the political want to do all the ***he want for get money without the civil to know !
The civil want cry on politicals man cause he cant pay the bil !

Wikileaks just showed politics are useless ***in most cases, wich made them angry.../toss a paper.

I can't decide if I buy into the rape allegations, or not...

Seems pretty convenient that they surfaced after he started leaking info.

It's also pretty odd to demand that a person be extradited based on "rape allegations," I believe.

They moved to wikileaks.sh I think. Pretty sure it's a Swedish domain.

Hilarious either way though.

Polanski fled sentencing after he had already plead guilty.

Assange is merely facing allegations. As far as I've seen, he hasn't even been charged with anything.

I hope this discussion won't head down the road of debating which variety of rape is the worst, because truth be told, rape is a vile crime in any way, shape, or form.

I'm also of the opinion that the timing of these rape allegations seems awfully convenient. As I know next to nothing about the circumstances around these allegations and their possible credibility, my initial opinion is definitely subject to change.

Polanski pled guilty, and Assange only has warrants against him. They can both be extradited just the same.

Have you seen these arrest warrants to verify your claims?
Or better yet, has he been arrested?
Because both questions should deemed to be very valid in this pissing contest.

As far as I know, the Insurance file contains the most damaging, un-redacted documents in Wikileaks's possession. If anything happens to Assange (i.e. he's murdered), then the keys to unlock the encryption will be automatically distributed. In theory, it's a way to discourage governments from killing him outright.

I'm not going to tell you where to find this file (as I'm sure the mods don't want us posting links to confidential information, even though it's encrypted), but it's not terribly difficult to find on your own.

Still not proving your point at all, nice try.
Still hasn't been arrested.
So don't go saying he's a rapist just yet!
Because allegations are weird things that don't stick unless evidence is provided and it's ran through due process :/
Unless you factor in the crooked paranoid government theory.
But your link proves that he has at least a bit of insurance against that, kind of like insurance... :/
eh. what exactly are you trying to say now?

He hasn't been arrested yet either.
