I did strip naked and dance in circles (in game) prior to getting the opal silk, not sure if that helped.

I'm willing to try anything at this point. 0/890 on Liks for mule.

i went 1/831 Lik and 1/213 gug couple weeks ago i finally got ebisu, and shockingly i've stopped fishing, hopefully i'll pick it back up soon.

Congrats! I got both mine on the same day just two weeks ago, went 1/17 on Lik and 1/41 on Gugs. Dumb luck lol.

200ish Liks, 300 gugs

Got mine today. Wasn't really keeping track but I was one of the luckier ones at like 1/50 on Opal silk and 1/9 on Saber shoot

CAught 75 fish, did RoE, gave me 3 Liks and sparks as a reward.

1/3 on Liks.

300-400 Gugrusaurus

A couple of days later after getting saber shoot, and less than 50 Lik.

42 lik but ugghhh 539 gugrusaurus. At least I got it in before the final tally of free week. I caught a few of them myself, but at 25k each that's over 12.5M gil. I was making enough money from other things that I really only noticed about 8M of that. I was even starting to get good at catching my own Liks, so it's more annoying that I got those first. (They're also only 10k each on Sylph.)

Now I can finally catch the last 20 or so fish for that quest in Mhaura.

OK Im super excited so here is a quick story. I got 110 fishing today around 14:00. I had some dwarf pugils from mog garden and log in points so I went to try for some Liks. I caught a Lik in maybe 5 casts after a few line breaks. I got a feeling so I went to get the 1 Lik I caught gutted. Freaking Opal silk 1/1 on the 1 Lik I caught.

This has to be the most necro-bumped page I've ever seen. Not in length of time since last necro, but the number of single necrobumps. Congrats, however.

Oh man the Ebisu quest was the stuff of nightmares for me. I still hold the title for the worst record on obtaining the Saber Shoot.
