I am ashamed, but, this is the set I've been using on VD with 2-3 minute kill times with usually 20-30 seconds left on OD : o.
Initially was doing it with just 100JP, but decided to just bite the bullet and push for 1200JP. It's doable with 100JP, but with that set you'll just reliably be doing D. If you push the extra 1100JP, you can do VD.
What attachment setup? I have the Taeon set 5/5 with 25acc/-4DT/+5DA, SU4 Hands. Pitre body +2 for OD. OD keeps running out by 10-20%. |

1) Anything I can skip with the second+ chocobo? I still have to get the stories for Canter/Gallop, right, the Handkerchief, all that?
2) Aiming for something in the range of 255 STR, 40 END, 216 DSC, 128 RCP? Or do I want like 64 END and 192 DSC instead, I don't know how dump a dump stat it is. You'll never be able to get Endurance that low. The only way to lower it significantly would be to do the Digging for Treasure care plan. Note that you can slowly lower your physical stats over time by feeding zegham carrots everyday but it's very minor.
If you're set on getting endurance that low, you need to start over. The best you'd be able to get to is your 2nd and 3rd highest stats being roughly equal. |

It's impossible to know without knowing exactly how the server uses stats, but many stats scale linearly so it's not a massive loss to be in the middle (254 STR is faster than 224 STR, or for digging you'll scale up max digs until capping at ~200 END). However, some other things do seem to be hard cut on ranks, like if you don't meet exactly C (96) by day 29 you won't get the appearance modifier for the stat.
Either 64 END 192 DSC or 32 END 224 DSC would be fine more than likely. Both of those will work for anything race specific (I have the former on one of my birds and I win C1 around 55% or so) but from experimentation DSC seems to help racing more than END does overall. Splitting in the middle may be fine, but most people aim to hit a specific tier if they can.
There's effectively exactly a 640 total stat cap (so 20 stat grades) but stats cap a rank at 224 for First Class. The highest you can take a stat naturally is 254 unless you get the appearance modifier for the stat which gives +1, except for RCP. RCP gets a bonus stat point for reasons we're not even sure for, some birds have it, some don't. Might be one of the egg flags.

I think people overestimate how much you spend. Using it for everything that requires dps boost daily, it would maybe be 500k tops.
I used it in Dyna-D and spent 1.2m, which, considering it's a 2-hour event, wasn't that bad. |

My armchair speculation without any proof whatsoever is that:
Titles are worth a point value based on their Gil cost on the title bard.
A 600g title is worth more "points" towards rank up than a 200g title.
In reality, who knows, and we'll likely never know.

well main concern was if anyone know if one activity is weighted more than another. Such as does title farming give more than ROE, etc. |

was toying with the idea of making a node/guide here with as many connections between real life mythologies and their use in FFXI as equipment names, enemies, etc. as I could find. would be a pretty big undertaking as there are probably hundreds if not thousands of potential examples. just started looking into sources beyond wikipedia and haven't given any real thought on how to format and present it.
would anyone be interested in such a thing? how does one get access to a node here?

Using a scroll of instant stoneskin(from curio moogle) will allow you to take 1 or 2 hits with 0 damage while KoH fires off Dia III and can then run off to safety at a distance.

I feel like Im mid-end in my forever journey.
I have just a couple more of RNG rolls before getting to more predictable routines, but it is been bugging me that Im at a point if I was a little more bold, I could reduce about 1h in the gameplay.
But that would mean erasing this weekend progress (what was about 1h30 mostly).
But I know if I dont do it, later on I will feel like redoing anyway, and losing way more than this 1h30.
Ok, I will redo a little more. I feel Im about to get the actual best I could do, just a little more!

Hiya! I appreciate this very much. However, one request is that, could you be able to make it choose different Windower Profiles instead of only the first/primary one? That would be amazing!
I used to use a Stream Deck Button Board to automate button presses and logins. This is much faster, cleaner and much welcomed. Thanks!

I'm only Gladiator rank in Monstrosity. Maybe you are missing some titles? Not sure. I am still missing a lot of titles like the Brown Magic ones, most ballista, all HTMB VD titles, some HNM ones, some Mog Garden, some Incursion Gramk-Droog incursion ones, etc. so I have a lot of work to do. Hopefully can reach rank 9 sometime. But yes, I just upgraded rank like two days ago.

So when we're the same rank and you haven't cleared anything on VD...something feels off.
I don't know, I have mostly the same things. I calculated it and I have roughly 194 missing titles out of 1099 (calculated using the May 2024 data on the bg-wiki titles page) and am still Rank 8. I mostly have the crafting items (150~200k GP ones), VD clears, chocobo racing, master titles, Mog garden, Ballista, MMM, and some the conquest GP titles left (I was planning a KRT Bat run to get Conquest points more easily but I have yet to do that...). I don't have a final prime weapon and I only have one aeonic and a few mythic weapons. No relic weapons. I don't think the RMEA count matters unless it has a title associated with it. |

Dyna D, that brings back memories. Just take a corsair and one shot the statues with Leaden. A really strong ranger could Trueflight them but its hard with double dark weather. And yeah those charmed people have no chance.
