In the past I couldn't commit to doing anything daily and there were group-based requirements like Ballista (6+). This time it was all soloable.

For me, it was simply because the Day 0 was a Saturday morning and I woke up early enough to Plaudits in the 7-hour window. If I had missed this window, I'd have no chance at earning the title, so I kept going.

Also, I think Hoxne Earring is a strong motivator.

Taint was 100 on the list, my mule was 101. Taint got title, mule did not. Very glad I didn't register my mule before Taint....

Strong agree on this, either there is some hard requirement checkpoint that we are all missing (wings of war) or 10 just isn't out yet. you could assume that we have 3 new titles coming from the add on scenario HTBF coming this year, and maybe something for doing high lvl besieged that could contribute.

My bug reports for Champion of the Dawn and Fulmination disrupter got accepted (i know that doesn't mean much) but imagine if the only reason we aren't 10 is that the game hasn't acknowledged we've finished wotg?

Medal is tied to your NATION quest progress, so if you finish sandy wotg questline to the end, you won't lose medal if you are fighting for sandy. if you change to Bastok however, and have not completed that nation questline, you are still eligible for demotion.

you also lose your two top medals when you change allegiance, so i imagine Byrth just switched teams to force a demotion to check mastery rank, that's what i was doing when i was testing shield etc. too.

i dont know i am trying to find a solid answer though. I am sure i had it long ago but seems i an two ranks lower now. I am going to get again but not sure about demotions.

They changed it where you couldn't lose it through demotion, but im assuming you can still lose it by changing allegience?

I didnt realize you could lose the medal of altana, i could have sworn SE changed that over 15 years ago.

Got Vanabout title this week also and no rank up to 9, i would argue its just another title before putting out anecdotal evidence from a single data point. (Or to the argument immeasurable until they give us a dam progress bar)

I Can't wait to pay for wardrobe 9 and 10.

Can attest to not receiving the Venerated Adventurer title, despite presumably qualifying for it at 1,400 Plaudits.

Registered late on the 30th, and it seemed as though my entry was indeed accepted... Yet that appears to have been a total lie, as there's no sign of my name showing up on the rankings - and thusly, no title earned.

Strangely, I don't believe there were already 100 entrants tied for first place when I attempted to add my name to the pile. Was certainly up there, though, probably around ~75-85 or so.
Stranger still, there are a few registered names listed on Bahamut's rankings which somehow locked-in their position on the 31st, despite that presumably being too far outside the realm of feasibility to properly qualify (at least if my own wasn't accepted on the 30th). Very peculiar.

Wouldn't have went nearly so hard on Vana'Bout were I aware that there was no guarantee in earning its full-completion title, despite fully completing it. Feels Badman.

I got Medal of Altana back and am still 9, of course.

If I look only at the things people have ranked up from, there are still a few things for me to do:
* Neo-Limbus: Can always climb more
* Craft Shield: Could make another 7, but it's not clear it would count.
* RoE / NM Titles: Aminon kill
* Fights: 4 more Master Trials

Less well-supported, but maybe:
* Crafting: Guild hop and get the missing GP items/titles
* Skills: ML50 enough jobs to max every skill
* Very/Extremely Discerning titles: fffff

However, it doesn't feel like there's enough stuff (even assuming all of that counts) if the gap between 9 and 10 is bigger than between 8 and 9.
