- Bars that represent successful hits will now have a minimum pixel height of 1
- Attacks that are absorbed by shadows are now intentionally (rather than incidentally) invisible
- Attacks that are countered are now mapped and graphed appropriately (and ColorCounter in settings can be used to assign them a color)
- Added an 'aaev help' command in game

That about covers it, I'm pretty happy with how this has turned out and for the time being I'm probably considering it 'done' pending any bugfixes or bright ideas. Hope you find it helpful.

I just verified this on an NA account. So if you find a way to disprove what I experience, then please share more details about your account (EU/JP?) or something that might explain such a discrepancy. :)

Where did you get this info from?

I have a "Vana’dielian Bounty I", "Vana’dielian Bounty II, and "Vana’dielian Bounty III" on my SE account. I've redeemed them to the same in game character.

Either there are different tiers of items that are related to what is a VB1 (music/dvds?), versus a VB2 (books?), etc. Or just every time you redeem one the count goes up.

Most/All damage from Sortie bosses is Magical, so Epeolatry isn't helping you there. Aettir is fine, probably preferred anyways with additional Magic Evasion (and Lunge Bonus, lulMAB).


Learn your elements (Barspells, Runes), bring Remedy/Panaceas. Magic Evasion/MDB builds are key. If you're in a magic setup, you'll likely never lose hate. If you're in a melee burn, build a hybrid TP set so you can smack bosses around while taking minimal damage (One For All/Vallation/Valiance helps a lot).

There's really not much else to it. Flash/Foil/Hate spells and stay upright while keeping threat. I don't even know if it makes sense subbing BLU for more hate moves or whatever, but it depends on your setup. If you're getting the full benefit of melee buffs, you can sub something more offensive. If you don't have those sets built, just prioritize keeping the mob's attention while party downs the boss. Might also be easier to tank some of these bosses while kiting via Gravity. It's by far the easiest method and takes the stress off of face tanking.

Just to re-iterate, what you've said. I just confirmed that while I can register a new code on an account, you will only be allowed to choose a character on the account that has not already received a code.

TLDR: Nothing's changed. Still 1 rainbow mog pell per character, forever. (This is a shame, because you could have say Nomad Cap and Nomad Moogle Shield at the same time, if you just new ahead of time one was delivery-box'able on the same account). SE gonna be SE. :/

You didnt look very hard because we just talked about this a few months ago. I got 5 of them and confirmed all the info here and even said it doesn't let you do more than one per character. The sendable ones are nice. And people mentioned the shield being nice to extend food duration

Are you saying you were able to do this one the same account and character? 1 Rainbow mogpell per character ...per year? (Otherwise if you claimed the rainbow pells multiple times it would have to be once per character)

far as i can tell yes, just like base stats for merits is all jobs not just WAR THF ETC.

Oh I haven't tried this yet, thinking of resubbing. So the stats are applied to all Trusts then?

I made a Lanun Knife Su4 for Path A, and I may have used it twice in the past year. Definitely more use out of C. My personal priority is C > B > A, I will finish a Rostam A eventually, just not a priority atm for me.

Am i missing something here, how are you upgrading EV specifically? I thought they were just general points? Or do you mean focus on VIT first?

Have we determined if the egg cap can produce skill ups or not and hence if it's worth using for skill ups?

I do enjoy being a shooting COR. I have almost all the TS pieces +1(minus legs), and I am working on maxing out a r.acc/r.atk set, because of the fights where it's "COR does rolls then shoots and cries"

Don't have Tauret because my pulse weapon luck is ***. Our group is DNC/WAR/COR/BRD/RDM/WHM atm while our WAR farms an Idris, so we have 2 SBers atm with our BRD finishing Carn recently. When we swap jobs around I can suggest doing 2 SB again. No Terminus yet, and I'm not sure if I want to make the gun at all, but really wanting to make the polearm. Not against being convinced to go after an Earp.

Path C is the priority, it makes all rolls (and group) better. I don't use my Path B as often as C for obvious reasons, and I'm usually Naegling otherwise (unless it's very specific, like B Objective or self SC, or Xevioso). You may not use A very often if you don't COR for shooting a lot. Path A is phenomenal for Triple Shot, though.

As far as dual daggers go, I think they're both generally equal for TPing with the edge to Gleti's OH, Crep OH is better when capped or for magical WS (if you're not considering Tauret). You probably TP faster with a single RA via Triple Shot (with the gear), if you have the Racc for it. You can Hot Shot EG, but Savage Blade on F/H is perfectly fine. There's not really a better secondary WS you could use, unless you have like Terminus. I'd still Savage on F/H. Honestly, you can live with the wall on all bosses because Savage Blade is so busted. I'd argue COR can share Savage with BRD and it would be better than any other combination (Savage+Mordant etc)

Ah yeah, that explains it. Imo the XI in game mip maps look like trash, so I never used them.

In fact I had all mip maps to off and anisotropic on and that looked better than any mip map to me. Never noticed an issue with fonts but I used one of Radial's fonts not the in game HQ one.

There are lots of font sheets for XI for different parts of the UI, the config option is only for the one we type with, item descriptions and /yell etc (among some other things).

The lowest one is built into the Xivew file and it is a lossy/compressed dds file (old xiview modifies this one) (1024x2048), medium is the same font sheet but a png so better quality, the high quality one is a 2048x4096 sheet and also a png (sizes are mostly due to all the jp characters).

You really should use high quality fonts.

Rostam question:

If I was only to get one Rostam, path C is higher priority, right? Saw a post from about a year and a half ago saying path C before considering A or B. Would be fine getting A and B Lanun knives.

Also, assuming access to everything minus AALimbus gear, for double dagger meleeing, would Rostam/Crep work best, or Rostam/Gleti still be king? Mostly Sortie bosses atm to not WS wall our SB user.

There's a metric TON (almost 400) Tutorial Images. There's more JP than English. I guess some have not been translated yet? Maybe this exists in English and I haven't found it yet?



Does anyone know if the later versions of these are available in POL somewhere and I just forgot about them?
