I'd wager you're missing Hoxne Torque, that's the only change to max skill set in recent history.
ItemSet 255753Actually for some reason I was using Nirvana. I think I copy/pasted wrong somewhere when I was refactoring things. Thanks.

Talking about the winter games, thia time, for the first time in hiatory a brazilian (and maybe the first latin american too) earned a gold medal.
When he earned the medal, we had some news of winter games at front page here for a couple of days, before all the news related to itnsimply vanishing from the site

Its +15% enspell dmg, only thing comparable is obi under i think day+weather or double weather.
Depending on the situation osash is still better even with double weather+day, because weather/day bonus still activate even without obi equipped, just not each swing.

OK, so possibly in order to collect all KIs for every craft you have to get a Tier 4 shield (not just spend the extra 380k GP on KIs).
I swear I'm not going to get into *that* conversation again, but just to clarify, when you say "stage 4 shield" you mean like "Beveler's Escutcheon", right?
Because yeah, you'd have to actually complete all 8 shields, tossing 7 of them, on the same character to get all KIs.

Neat project for sure--though I wonder if a simple "-Awesome" Wiki/markdown file on github would be more useful long-term?

Hm! Maybe I don't. I thought I remembered that from when I was scanning my permanent KIs to see which I was missing, but checking the .dats it looks like it's not the case. There's a lot of "Spiffy Synth." KIs (approximately in the right spot for a crafting KI), but that may just be a placeholder.

Is there any consistent way to get metal H from Haughty Tulittia? Took it down to 35 % using Aeolian edge indirectly while all characteres were targeing another mob then from 35 % to 0 targeting Tulittia. No metal.

I have a feeling that the whole world is about as far left of Radial's politics as is the web. Chanti, you are a far left hippy (literally, by your own description of stuff you used to do for fun to annoy the rest of society when you were younger). Yes. Still am. Left enough to still lament "sure the liberals are behind us, far behind us."
Quote: What I believe is what the vast majority of people in the world believe who earn less than $100k a year (and most people in every western nation too). The vast majority of people in the world earn less than $100k a year period.
Quote: The world we live in is one where a minority impose their beliefs on everyone else, against the masses. On this we agree. I would hope the vast majority of people would agree too but I honestly believe that far too many are oblivious.
Quote: Which is why the censorship / cancel system exists in the first place, and why one platform not following that forced system is so outrageous to them. The censorship / cancel system is truly bipartisan.
I will post no more on this. Its off topic. PMs are welcome.

I hear the city got 22" of the white stuff. /comfort
I don't remember any one snowfall ever getting that deep there.
Here we never got a deep enough snowfall to break out the snow blower. Or even make a snowball that didn't include grass.
Yeah it got bad they had a mandatory 9pm curfew so all uber was shutdown and food deliveries etc.
Actually one of the worst ones I remember was in 1996, it was a huge blizzard. I was a little kid living in Staten Island and I remember the snow was taller than me lol. It didn't get as bad as then but its weird to have all this in FEB.

I did sim those already, and I have Hoxne pulling ahead. To be fair, though, I did my sims assuming MR9, so the required rank at which Hoxne pulls ahead may be higher than for physical weaponskills.

I doubt he's even in the top 10 percentile of persons with those kind of convictions.
If he was, he wouldn't be able to post about it here, and we'd have no way of knowing.
Which is kind of the point. Far left extremist views are often encouraged on major platforms. Far right extremist views are almost universally censored. The training reflects what's available to train on.

How much of a boost is the Orpheus's Sash for enspell damage as opposed to whatever alternative there is? Is the O Sash necessary to beat Odin in time if you have everything else best in slot?

These two things aren't contradictory. Pretty much all media that's online has a moderation that is left of Radial's politics. I didn't say they were. Indeed they are complementary. Also scraping the web is way easier than ripping apart physical paper media and feeding it to scanners. (Which is legal and avoids copyright issues unlike torrenting.)
I have a feeling that the whole world is about as far left of Radial's politics as is the web.

I haven't been able to reproduce BRD/DNC returning sets with no dual wield. It was weird.
Condition set was "time to WS", no DT or any other requirement.
I can totally see how skipping some points from Capped Attack Delay (i.e. missing some DW) can still produce a BiS set even with uncapped DW, but missing ~21% sounds a bit too much, considering there was "just" capped magic haste, no JA haste, no other buff providing anything similar.
I wasn't complaining btw! Was just trying to find whatever it is that was broken!

I just subscribed to Packt.
18 months subscription for around 100$.
Now I have access to all their books, I get own one title per month, and some extra AI service.
Yeah, the zoomers here will say "meh subscription if I can get for free" or "not worth".
Dang, I thought the price pretty reasonable. I normally spend way more than 100$ per year buying individual books at 18$ each.
Plus, it is not like I will do a lot more better things with this money.
Well, gonna use my subscription to grab some functional programming with Python.
IDK, I like this paradigm. Its classy.

Not even hard choice m8, Kraken Club. They're easier to get, all have the same performance, less maintenance, can legally sell for other goods, and makes peepee bigger. I'd like to hear some counterpoints to change my mind.
I was thinking about those ai pics that was made here and came back for a laugh, and they still had me rolling. There is a possible chance that someone is frogging in your house right now, playing FFXI without you knowing, and that very well could have been me if I kept playing this game, possibly maybe

I don't have hoxne, hq baayami, nor do I have summoner anywhere near ml50, so I was just mathing it out and not testing in game.
Since it's 3 min base duration (180 seconds) + (Summoning skill - 300) seconds. It seems I made an error earlier though.
99 smn = 417
merits = 16
job mastery = 36
ML50 = 50
So, 519 naked.
Then the set is what Pergatory posted above. So 262 in gear. 781 max summoning skill atm. So 481 secs added to the base duration for 661 seconds total.
11 minutes and 1 second. I have no idea where I got those extra two seconds earlier. Sorry about that.

I'm not going to argue about where the overton window is right now or what qualifies as left/right, but scrapable data is almost certainly further left than fully uncensored conversation.

I did a little fidgeting w/ bst/brd on my main character. I'm Mlvl 50 and singing skill caps at 201.
I built a set for offensive songs focusing on Macc and CHR:
ItemSet 402128
I was happy to find I could reliably land offensive songs on Locus mobs.
Lullaby and Horde Lullaby only have their default duration of 30s
I haven't been resisted on Requiem or Magic Finale yet. Threnody spells are useful, still mostly light threnody.
The buffing songs are weak, but not insubstantial:
Advancing march is only 10% haste
Paeon 2hp/tic
Paeon II 3hp/tic
Paeon III 3hp/tic
Peaon IV 4hp/tic
Ballad 1mp/tic
Balld II 2mp/tic
Blade Madrigal 24 acc
Sword Madrigal 27 acc
Minuet 32 Attack
Minuet 2 39
Minuet 3 34 attack
Minne 3 46 def
etude +5 to stat
Carol 35 resistance
240 skill >>> 40 resistance
Ironically because of how the scaling works... sometimes the lesser song gives a bigger buff. like sword madrigal > blade madrigal at low skill.

Super true - I know tons of people with 4080s and 5080s who don't touch the stuff - think it's stupid - others just don't care or don't want to be bothered - then you have people with 4060 8gb using guff models to make videos and art now
Ive been scratching with AI for a long time now, no expert or anything, but comfyui works along with getting someones cutting edge workflow to work, and it's getting pretty crazy what I am able to do now. Whenever I want to update my setup, I run my start-up log to Gemini or grok, and it looks online for the latest updates from GitHub, reviews forum posts to ensure its geting the best info, and then I briefly tell the AI to ensure it makes no errors so it triple-checks before telling me how to proceed

Using latest version on BRD/NIN and while optimizing WS set it keeps selecting Linos DA QA as BiS option for Savage Blade.
No option is selected in the Range slot.
If I only pick "Empty" same result.
If I select "all" it still says the best option is Linos DA/QA.
Thing is... if I pick no option and/or Empty in the Ranged slot, it should prioritize what I picked in the Ammo slot and tell me what is the best option there, it shouldn't pick something I haven't selected like the DA/QA Linos in the Ammo slot.
Unless I'm doin something wrong? But it didn't use to behave like this at least a few versions ago. Thanks for the note.
There was previously an issue with the "select all" buttons not properly automatically selecting/deselecting gear after I pushed the virtualization update last week. I believe this may have been related to the software seeing the Linos despite it not actually being a selected option. I've also adjusted how the code handles initializing the gearset when finding the best set, but this part of the code hasn't been updated since September last year, so it is unlikely to be related. Let me know if you still see this issue after updating. I have not been able to reproduce it since the fix, so I'd need more details if it's still a problem.
Also for the TP set as /DNC it would leave me with ZERO dw from gear.
Just HM and Haste2 as haste sources, no haste samba.
Something is broken, never had such conflicting results the last time I used it a few months ago. I haven't been able to reproduce BRD/DNC returning sets with no dual wield. Maybe that set was coincidentally the best set given the options (high DT and accuracy requirements together?).
Other news from last week:
Gear selections have been virtualized: We now build a maximum of 1024 widgets to represent all gear in the gear.py file. This was previously around 8500, which caused tkinter to struggle to update everything when making selections such as job changing. Instead of hiding/placing 8500 individual widget objects for every selection, the GUI now simply changes a text label on 1000 already placed widgets. This should have fixed the issue with the GUI breaking after the December 12 rewrite update (which resulted in missing buttons and an inability to use menus/selections). Ideally, we'd reduce this down to ~100 widgets later, but 1000 should be good enough for now.

I would like to stay clear of anything political. I agree but with this, as with economics, its difficult. For some posters its impossible.
