So, I managed to return to the same progress I had last week. And I had to fiercely resist the urge of resetting a little bit during the week, but after careful thinking, this new reset wouldnt be objectively better than my current route so I kept my progress.
It is good that new retcon ideas are stopping to be appealing, indicating maybe Ive finally found a pretty efficient route.
As a plus, I have a day off tomorrow, a home office day at friday and the week to do the last push to finally beat the game.

Did a WKR and was in zone from the time of boss pull to death and performed multiple actions on the boss, but my objective didn't complete. Anyone else experience this? You didnt get the message in your chat log, or the objective is still active in the quests menu?
Also I dont think "performing multiple actions" may be sufficient depending what the actions were. I've noticed that I dont get credit for reives unless everyone gets an evaluation (XP/Bayld message) atleast once.
Yeah, the objective is still active in the quests menu. I also didn't receive any item drops from the completion of the fight despite seeing the WKR success message (not the bout completion message, the general WKR one). This was for the WKR #1 objective. I completed the #2 objective shortly after. For the second one I engaged and auto-attacked while for the first one I only cast enfeebles and Dia so that may be the issue. So I guess to be safe people should make sure they actually engage and take a couple swings at a mob and don't just cast spells.

Buddy of mine asked if I could try out Helheim Rune Fencer for him. Said sure! My RUN has 0JP so it probably won't be all that great, but I'll give it a go.
Went out to Locus Dhalmels with Trusts, popped out Sylvie, Qultada, Excenmille S, King of Hearts, and Monberaux.
Did about 41.5k at 3000TP. Then 61.7k at 3000TP after the Dhalmel Berserked.
Buddy decided to come on out with his COR BRD GEO to give me the premium drug buffs.
Pushed Fimbu on RUN up to 92554 at effective 3000 on RUN/drk.
Can probably hit capped damage at ML30 with either /drk or /drg.
Maybe DD RUN is back :D
The non-3000 WSes weren't half bad either. WSing around 1500 was able to hit anywhere from 40~65k under max buffs and self SC with the SC bonus on Nyame making the Grav match the WS damage and the Darkness hit 88~99k.
Just for shits and gigs, whipped out my Lycurgos, cause why not. Did ye olde Armor Break > Steel Cyclone > Upheaval > Steel Cyclone 3 step SC, and while the WS damage was all 30k or less, the TP gain on 504 delay Gaxe was great, and the SC damage still ended in an 87k darkness and a dead Dhalmel, so it didn't feel bad.
All in all, also before super buffs...
RUN kinda feels good to play with Trusts. Sylvie gives you Haste and Refresh, so you don't need BRD trust. Qultada and Excenmille give you decent atk buff. /drk lets you swing pretty fast, and RUN gear gives plenty of Datk/Tatk even a little smidge of Quad.
Definitely gonna Master it after I get Stage 5 Helheim.

Comp roll is huge
3 pups will work you just lose half the regen and you'll have to risk running in to oil, with 3 automatons. Plus double the tp feed, twice as many hammers. More healing. Very unsafe.
Plus, you won't get any wildcards if all 3 chars are burning overdrives.
So sounds like if i tweak the attachment and work on the Teon set i should have better chance, I will work on that but I have never done the Teon equipset instance lol
|
|
 |
|

Probably not. I'd stick with 2 PUP + COR, I think you'll have better results with the rolls.

Sounds like you're missing both pet gear haste and pet magic haste. I'd suggest swapping Inhibitor 1 for Turbo Charger 1 as using Light Maneuver under Overdrive with both Turbo Chargers and both Optic Fibers should cap your magic haste. Gear haste you want to find 25% - the easiest way to do that seems to be 10% Haste on cape, 10% haste on Ohtas and then 5% on a belt like Ukko Sash or Klouskap.
Also if you're using 2 PUPs at the same time and you have Companion Roll active I'd say don't equip any Inhibitors and just let them Bone Crusher over and over and forget skillchains.
Assuming you can equip everything I'd try an attachment setup like
Optic Fiber 1+2
Turbo Charger 1+2
Magniplug 1+2
Mana Jammer 4
Auto Repair Kit 4
Coiler 2
Flame Holder
Attuner
Last slot could be Coiler 1, another Mana Jammer or a Tension Spring.
I will give this a try tonight, now if I can actually go 3 Pup, instead of 2 Pup plus a Cor, would that be better?

Again, Eiryl with horrible advice. You could have 8 gorillion haste, but your DPS is 0 if you're dead.

I think I found the line in question
JP:
<thing type="DialogTableEntry">
<field name="index">12997</field>
<field name="text">明星の巫女ならば
彼女の愛する弟たちに宛てて、なにかを
残していることでしょう。≺Prompt≻
</field>
</thing>
EN:
<thing type="DialogTableEntry">
<field name="index">12997</field>
<field name="text">Surely the Dawn Maiden has bequeathed something of value to her younger kin.≺Prompt≻
</field>
</thing>
I think I found other related dialog shortly later depending on ROTZ progress:
<thing type="DialogTableEntry">
<field name="index">12999</field>
<field name="text">I shall continue to watch over the world that you and your companions have fought so valiantly to protect.≺Prompt≻
</field>
</thing>
<thing type="DialogTableEntry">
<field name="index">13002</field>
<field name="text">I will continue to monitor their actions as I watch over the world that you and your companions have fought so valiantly to protect.≺Prompt≻
</field>
</thing>

Furrows screwed me the first time.
Finished everything else but because it's related to the harvest
And harvest times vary
Revival tree roots were something like and hour or two
I was planting and spamming them around the clock
After having finished all other parts of the mog garden

You're missing that he's not talking about the order of multi-attack. Adding DA increases your AAPR (Average attacks per round). It's not relevant that TA proc's first if you're looking at AAPR, you're still getting some marginal increase in AAPR, which can be translated directly into average TP per round. Then you can make your comparison to STP.

That should exist in the dats then so it should be pretty easy to confirm. What zone would that cutscene be in? If I'm reading the wiki correctly, it should be during https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Promathia_Mission_8-4
"Once you've completed the previous cutscenes, head to Ru'Lude Gardens and approach the Palace for a cutscene."
That part. So Ru'lude.
These are the lines according to the jp wiki
Mildaurion : 明星の巫女
ならば
彼女の愛する弟たちに宛てて、なにかを
残していることでしょう。
Mildaurion : 私はそれを探し、
カムラナート様に呼びかけてみます。
あの方ならば、私の言葉を聞いて
くださいましょう。

If you have two PUPs, I would do one OD at a time so you can take advantage of skillchain damage. Getting killed by Hammer is a skill issue that you'll fix with experience.

I'm a bit lost somewhere here though.
It all started with me saying "DA has less impact than it would have without no multiattack at all, and RDM has >40% TA thanks to Temper 2. But thankfully TA gets calculated before DA so adding DA is not that bad! Things would be different if the order was the other way around"
To which Saevel quoted saying "order is irrelevant"
Now I wanted to understand how it's irrelevant.
I mean from my point of view, but clearly I must be missing something, adding DA to RDM is not too bad in the end THANKS to the fact that TA gets processed before, so TA would get in no way "damaged" by DA.
But if the order was the other way around, DA would actually be a small damage to your TA rate, no?
How is this "irrelevant"? What am I missing?
