Well Epic still exists, their cut is only 12% from what I was able to find, why dont the devs and publishers sell through Epic? Volume.
Offer the best service, get lots of users, suck the oxygen out of the segment. You don't need to cheat to get a monopoly, if you are good enough you can grow your own. |

Things with "recast -" on them would go in midcast, and would not help at all in precast as far as I know.

To follow up on Hya's testimonial...
The bibiki urchin took me something like 15 hours over multiple 1-2hr sessions to find... a true nightmare.
When catching all the fish for completions sake, it was certainly not the hardest one to catch, but it was BY FAR the rarest

Slice of Bluetail and Ebisu+1, in the middle of the dock in the P.Isle side of the manaclipper.
I probably spent 3 hours wandering around the places it is supposed to bite and eventually ended up there.
It probably took more casts than the other 57 I fished up in the last 24 hours. Initially I thought it was glitched, but it is so weird across a so many dimensions that I now believe whoever made it at SE is just profoundly eccentric.
Level: 3
NPC price: 750G
Bite rate: almost zero
Used in: urchin sushi (before being added to the NPC iirc) and sublime afterwards
??? It looks like it is intended to be hard to catch, but catchable by anyone. I wonder if SE thought Urchin Sushi would make it worth farming back in the day
We could also just have the condition wrong (like, it needs the manaclipper to be docking or something). I've spent probably 6+ hours in this spot using various baits, Ebisu +1 and Lu Shang's, and never seen it. Count yourself lucky for not having such a hard time with it. |

With even a VII SAM roll, you're AVERAGING "1-hit" (1 attack round) builds with minimal effort using Godhands. Including using 4/5 Malignance (empy +3 legs), so it's not like you have to give up a ton of survivability to achieve it.
You don't quite get that with Vere, but it's still stupid high DPS.
I'm running with GH while Footwork is up, using Vere when it's down and Impetus up. When everything is down, I'm leaning on Howling Fist and GH. I don't think that's different than pre-Ampulla, though it definitely hurts a lot less swapping weapons.

I finished fishing up one of each fish and I'm still rank 8. I'll do Ken's shitty escort later tonight, probably.
Regarding quest "All by Myself"
I had to get someone to hold all of the mobs along the path except the worms at the end. Too hard to do solo without any help because too many mobs and very easy to get caught. It really is one of the hardest escort quests currently. |

Random Question: When you talk to Teilsa in Port Sandoria (near N. Sando) and you choose "I want to do some Quests!", what does she say?
Every Town has an NPC like this, but Teilsa isn't in the Adventurer/Tutorial NPC page: https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Tutorial_NPC
Maybe folks with newer characters are more aware, but this NPC tells you how many Quest NPCs you have left to talk to, in Sandoria, Bastok and Windurst. (I don't know if there are more in other towns, but I'm not sure). |

I would highly recommend revising your sets for when creating MBs, and also checking with other party members to reduce their magic damage as much as possible. Any amount of damage is going to count towards that 'wall', it's not a magic number of 10k. That was the thought initially, but was proven to not be the case. A lot of spells go out to setup MBs with skillchain and debuffs. Can add up.
What does your SC setup look like? Some folks hitting in the 80's was because they were doing a shorter SC.
The standard 6-step SC with SCH and BLU -
Earth Element > Wind Element (Detonation) > Earth Element (Scission) > Wind Element (Detonation) > Dark Element (Gravitation) > Quadratic Continuum (Darkness)
Typical debuffs, including Impact (our RDM landed theirs before the SC even started). My BLU debuffs, Searing Tempest and Tearing Gust, each landed for 2k-ish.
That's a good point though. This is under the assumption that a 6-step is being performed. |

One of my alts finally got the jumbotender memento and when putting it down I received a pair of powder boots. I'm not sure there's a place where this sort of stuff is tracked?
