I'd love incoming besieged. Since the release of the content I managed to catch it online (and when I'm not inside instanced content) only a few times sadly.
Having that info displayed on the website might not change much but it would be helpful imho!

Doesa anybody knows who mantaines the whereisdi site? I think it's fed through information coming from players on the various servers who are using a related addon, right?

Noob question (leveling DRG so I can try it out endgame later), can the jumps with all the JSE for TP bonus etc give enough for doing WS > jump > WS > high jump > WS? Or is it less TP than 1000.
The idea of doing chains like that somewhat interested me.

Probably worth remembering that Daybreak, who manages EQ and EQ2 now, were at one point Sony Online Entertainment. Sony spun off all the MMO projects under their umbrella as a separate company at some point.

My own kid was haranguing me about p2w when he saw me logging to a succession of lvl 1 mules. Login pts, daily tally/gobbiebox, aman trove, mog gardens... these are all p2w systems. I have more +2 earrings than I would've. I have more gil than I would've. Some days I don't even have time to play, just quickly log to mules to collect points - I like having that option, but it's still p2w.

Only thing that comes to mind is add-on expansions which had some potentially better gear that what was available + the other augment gear that mighta also fit that mold if you got lucky enough. Along with that was some other codes from RL events or physical merch like the coat that let you warp to nashmau. Can't say i'd call them accepted though
If anything id imagine p2w content would more accepted today considering everything else out there(pls no) |

Dege is constantly updating to fix issues with various old games so it's useful to keep it updated.

Reshade doesn't work with DX8 so it's not doing anything unless you have some sort of DX8 to 9 or DX8 to 11 proxy library. Ashita has the one Atomos made.

Interesting read. Dege seems very hostile, but I can see why he'd be upset that people are bundling an outdated version of his software. It is frustrating to have a large group of users experience bugs that he's already put work into fixing because of someone redistributing (against license, apparently).

The Lutris devs were going against his express wish's, then blaming him for his project not working with their code. Then a horde of people started yelling at him about why his software wasn't FOSS and why he doesn't support the Linux gaming community. It got super ugly and he just told him to "f off". |

Oh you are trying to do this on Linux, it works but Lutris is just a wrapper for wine / winetricks and it makes some pretty bad assumptions for these older games. I once tried to work with them but they were not very open (that is my putting it politely).
Dege has plainly stated he won't work on Linux bugs because his focus is getting retro games working on modern Windows desktops. I've gotten the newer dgvoodoo libraries to work with my own wine prefix with dxvk / etc.

Speaking of Abyssea, got a friend picking up BLU.
Barrier Tusk: can the Marids in Abyssea - Uleguerand ever have their tusks broken on a crit? I've never seen it happen, so I learned that spell there very easily, but I'd like confirmation from someone else before I update the wiki to say so.
I know that Clammy Imps in Vunkerl will use Frenetic Rip even with an intact horn, and I don't think I've ever seen their horns break, so I assume all ToAU mobs in Abyssea are similar... but I'm asking.

Overcapping -DT is super common now. It's not even an issue to hit 50 in most sets, even casting ones. They recently added an all-jobs body piece with -20DT, a mask with -10DT, and a ring with -10 DT that's fairly easy to obtain. It's not even OP anymore, because any of your best armor pieces are going to have some -DT on it anyways, and you're capped after a point. The problem is, if they do come out with something like that, it's going to be another grind you're going to hate and foam at the mouth after, when it's really nothing amazingly superior to what you already can accomplish. I wouldn't put it past them to make a 100,000 Imperial Standing Accolade ring that gives -50DT, so that you're grinding Besieged for the rest of your life.
Yeah 50DT isn't anything special, it's just kind of the norm now with all the PDT/MDT/DT thrown around. It's now about having Def/MDB/MEVA/HP to go with that DT. |

Are you using windower? Are you playing full screen or windowed? Most likely you need dgvoodoo. FFXI crashes intentionally because the devs hate us Ashita full screen. Looks like I'm downloading DgVoodoo again... |

So I deleted DgVoodoo2 to update my gpu driver (AMD, had the blue character issue, yes that's a thing). Game loads fine. However, when having another game loaded, I cannot alt-tab to said game without FFXI crashing. This has never happened when DgVoodoo was loaded. Only other "mod" I have running is ReShade. If I only have FFXI loaded I can alt-tab just fine to chrome or whatever. But if I alt-tab to another game, instant FFXI crash. Any idea why or how to fix?
