I just skimmed through it. I didn't see anything of note. They did their usual "Here's what the last update brought" segment followed by a guest segment, and a tutorial on how to reforge empyrean gear.

Quote: They are having an in-person AMAN Live event. It seems like they'll have some of the current devs speak at this event about what 2025 was like from their perspective. They'll also be interviewing the GOAT, Mizuta, on what it was like to compose for The Voracious Resurgence, along with performing unreleased tracks. As part of this event, Fujito will be talking about future plans for the game with a segment on the Trust Updates. The event will be on March 7th. It's crazy that FFXI will have an event of this size in 2026, even if it's JP only.

Imagine if someone made an addon called angel help master that helped you spend conquest points, where every time you walk past a delivery NPC it sends a % of your gil to his mule without even opening the UI. I wouldn't even be upset, because that would be pretty impressive. |

It seems like it would have been better if they didn't add a rainbow chest for the 10th roll. All these impish boxes that cannot be POL sent is such a waste, at least I can sell a scroll or ingredient for 5000 gil.

Got 9/17 Impish Boxes. Last rainbow I got was Sacro gorget.

The MMJ boss in besieged is healed by magic, right? Would it be possible to intentionally lose besieged by getting enough people to heal him? Asura trolls reading this

Seems like they wiped out the non-HTBF drops from the rainbow chest, replaced them with Impish Box (silver voucher fallback), and probably changed the relative rate.
I haven't seen anyone get one of the "good" HTBF drops from this like Null Masque or Crepuscular Cloak, though. Malignance Box is maybe the best yet? lol

Most valuable thing I got was a light cluster, until I got an Impish Box today. Obviously I got the non-sendable Impish Box on a lv1 mule that has never left town, sooooo garbage.
Saving up 10 keys now to get a rainbow chest and hopefully get something out of it.

Think SE wanted people making 15 lv1 1 / using their lv99 trove mules to have a 100% chance at ultra rare stuff?
I'm trying to say that I think SE messed up the translation. I think the increased chance of HTBF gear comes from FES Gobbie Keys individually, and the Rainbow chest is simply an extra bonus. |
