One mule getting a Sacro doesnt dispute what I said
Here's another level 1 mule getting a Sinister Reign decanter from an FES Key and a crepuscular pebble from the Rainbow:
Presumably these people with 100 mules have a good amount of main accounts who got the keys too. Even if it's 16:1, 120+95 should be 8 and 6 mains. Out of just your mains, how many were Impish boxes? It's not enough data on its own, but there's no sampling bias because you were going to report anyway. If it's less than 6-7 impish boxes(out of 14ish mains) between the two of you, it is reason to be suspicious of some sort of prize weighting/gating.
Normally, I'm inclined to suggest/observe/test for all kinds of fringe theories, so I included the results of characters that are only level 99, I get 66 Impish Boxes out of 87 Rainbows which is still 74.7%: Code

For me personally, I never complain about paying for extra $1 mules because I always get some value/utility out of them. If it were flipped to be 25% instead of 75%, I've have 3x the amount of random items ...and that would be more interesting than the Impish Boxes.
...The only way, I can see this being remotely worthwhile, is if the Impish Box because an entry for a new battlefield? ...But oh well....Maybe 2026 will be better? |

You can pipe your output to "sort | uniq -c | sort -n" and you'll get actual counts: Thanks, but I really didn't wanna know that I got 3 Null Shawls that I didn't need, so I put my time into KI prompts for silly pictures instead. |

Again, whats the rate of impish boxes on mains? Cause im willing to bet most of this impish box data thats diluting the poolnis from mules.

Its also possible SE coded a fallback that it wont offer a reward if you dont have access to the content available? ie: If you dont have access to Odin Prime HTMB, you wont get Odin Prime loot and instead it will revert to Impish Box.
This theory may not be 100% correct, but if mains whove done content are getting 15% impish boxes and lv1/99 trove mules are hitting 80% impish box, then there is something at play.
Good idea, but unfortunately, this is not a thing. One of my characters got a sacro gorget with basically nothing:

I was moderately hopefully that these FES Gobbie Keys were going to be added to future season events and I would feel motivated to do them. I mean, the Curio Moogle in October, got me to do Halloween events for the first time in 15-20 years because I wanted the Ilm set.
But the current distribution for FES Gobbie Keys is just bad. Most of the items are clutter. Also, it doesn't increase replay value either (because I can't send or share Impish Boxes).

I did manage to get a couple Hjarrandi and Sacro bodies and enough dyn crystals to make it a worthwhile endeavor. Barely. I'm not sure I'd do this again.

Buy at your own risk. The codes have a soft expiration date. I've had and heard some work, and some don't work, even though they were new sealed products.
Is that DVD/CD still worth getting, besides for code reasons? |

6 of those mules have zero htbf gear on them. 5 more will have rainbow tomorrow for more impish boxes.

Magic damage is typically pretty ***in besieged compared to melee, so it may not work anyway.

So you would need to make sure other annoying monsters are around him (enough to not end besieged), feed him a ton of TP, and spam magic after Arcane Stomp. Seems possible, unlike the undead swarm or trolls. Well, if the goal is griefing, since smn buffs hit everyone in besieged, you can just spam Ifrit's enfire on everyone fighting him so they all heal him every hit.
Sensible people would click it off though. |

The MMJ boss in besieged is healed by magic, right? Would it be possible to intentionally lose besieged by getting enough people to heal him? When he does arcane stomp, he temporarily absorbs all magic damage. It does wear off, but he can do it whenever. Also, it hits all other mobs in range and lets them absorb magic damage too.
Very annoying move.

What I’m starting to wonder is if missions present themselves as gates to a ranking up. If I ran exact parallel accounts I could test this. Maybe I could rack up all the titles and achievements in the world but unless I do these certain missions, I can’t progress past a certain rank. Just a thought. |

Collect items from the event and purchase limited time items from Chacharoon (two types of items, one of each per Earth day) in RuLude Gardens. You can get a special Monstrosity item from the NPCs Ake and Ome (these names are a play on the shortened form of "Happy New Year" in Japanese). This is the 3rd year that we're doing this event.
From 1/16 to 2/4 (Japan time) the next campaign will run (these are the campaigns on the official site; check there for the full list).
--From Fujito-P-- "This year, we took a lot of time to prepare many different things for everyone. We started moving forward on actually putting these into place. We have almost completely finished the server upgrades. We talked before about POL having issues with newer hardware and we're thinking that in 2026 we will be able to finish addressing the issues with this and preparing our new implementation (note: this had no details otherwise, so it could be anywhere from just fixing code to a full rehaul). Also, next year, the Trust strengthening will be coming. We're strengthening them at their core, so a lot of things will be happening there. --AMAN Live in Shibuya-- They have announced a live version of the AMAN Live stream. 3/7/2026, split into two parts. Tickets will be a lottery system. First part will have a screening of the FFXI live reading dramas held in 2024 and 2025 with the two people who wrote the dramas there as guests to discuss; a "Special Secret Talk" with two of the game designers (Taniguchi Sho and Watanabe Iyo; guessing on the reading of their given names), talking about this past year in developing the game; and a discussion with the composer behind FFXI music (Naoshi Mizuta) and performances/playing of previously unreleased tracks.

Divergence has been difficult to take on solo for many people. With the updates to the Trusts coming in the next year, it will become much easier, but for people who can't wait, we wanted to talk about upgrading your Empy armor to +2 to make your trips to Divergence easier.
Talking about why Empy is good. DT conversation. Murky Ring, Adoulin Ring. Chart showing the various Meva values of gear and the importance of DT and Meva in your gear. Malignance has more DT and meva than Empy+3 so it comes after those in strength of defenses.
There are a lot of people who struggle with the Vagary fights to get even Empy+1. We wanted to show these battlefield fights with Vagary bosses, so we're going to fight Plouton. We're going to have a handicap here and only use Malignance, Tauret/Ternion+1, Ambu Cape, a DT neck and D ring without other pieces.
Fighting Plouton to show people how to do it and the trusts they recommend.
