Is there a way to formally save in the game? I see the export profile option but think that's only settings, right? Just cleared Tower 1 and would hate to lose the progress if I cleared browser history or whatever. Thanks again!

not sure why you would put hoxne ring into any non-thf set. TH caps at +4, and you only need it for a tag, so any old combo of DM aug/th+1 accessories will suffice and not cost you a big dip in hp/mp
Inventory savings. The Hoxne Ring + Volte Jupon gives you TH +4 for ALL jobs with only 2 inventory slots total. You might not feel like that's worth the huge HP/MP dip, but that's it, that's the reason.

What they need to address with trusts beyond stats is role coverage per slot. SE needs to understand if we choose a BRD trust we want capped haste. Surely Ulmia who helped in saving all existence had at least a Blurred harp +1 and 900 skill.

edit2: Do i need to change back to bastok to complete the 3-2 mission i skipped decades ago?
What happens to outposts and such if i change? You keep everything - Conquest Points, Outpost Warps, anything I'm forgetting. Basically you go into cold storage for the nation you left and come back the exact same whenever you come back.
(I have them all on Windurst from the single weeks back in 2006 where we stole Ronfaure/Gustaberg and I'm unreasonably proud of it)

Not even sold on it in a THF set either tbh as the upgrade rate on TH is pitiful even with all the increases the job gets natively
It's bis Scarlet Delirium piece :)

They mentioned before that the trust update is in two parts. iirc, they said the 1st part in March won't have AI changes. They haven't really talked about the 2nd part other than it's happening later.
For the first part, they already said they are adding an RP system to enhance the trusts on the basis of category (like tank, melee dd, ranged dd, magic dd, healer, support, and special, since those are the different trust icons).

What is the -Damage Taken cap?
-50 or -53?
I've been doing -50 sometimes go over anyway

If they wanna be evil can just make it trust specific leveling, lock the AI/potency boosts behind said leveling. But think itll just be MMesque stat/DT increases and maybe theyll do an unrelated change to some trusts AI/potency boosts on the cor/brd, though i think even the 2nd part is expecting too much

All i want from trusts is more survivability, a tank trust that doesn't screw up scs and mbs, and buffers who are more consistant especially brds.

That'd be my expectation too. What causes my curiosity is their wording and hyping it up when they said (IIRC), "its more than just a stat boost".

They made it sound like (to me, maybe reading to much into it) that the upcoming trust update will make it easier to solo too, since it seems some servers are having issues killing the roaming NMs might (?) not see the upgraded chests from killing Ultima and Omega.
One could make the argument "its a server issue and they need to work together". Same thing can be applied to Domain Invasion and Mireu, I suppose.
The system isn't perfect and I might be in a minority to enjoy it since I can just do it casually whenever, no time limited entries or limited entries like Ody, Omen, Dynamis and Sortie.
or, maybe I haven't had time to play much since Limbus 2.0 was added and not burned out yet, with most of my free time gone into Whereisnm.com and vana-time.com projects.
Any case, as a semi-casual and veteran player of 2 decades - I'm curios how much impact their hyped-up trust update will have.

Wanna do solo? You can, it won't be super efficient with the 3 trusts limitations but you can do it. They needed to go this way or something similar to promote party play.
Idk I have a feeling opening highest tier chests will change this.
Imo opening next tier will add more grace, unlock higher trust limit etc. but I might be wrong.

I'm also not convinced that ephemeral titles don't matter. Even if there's no way for us to see them, that doesn't mean that they aren't tracked on the server.
I just really don't want to do Ballista, so I'll probably try to do 2~3 Master Trials first.

Limbus is too involved, I don't wannna do that ***. Too "involved"?
What's complicated about it? Not trying to judge you, trying to understand your perspective.
It seems to me Limbus is pretty straightforward to me?
What it lacks maybe is the ability to do more fast runs, but I'm not even sure that's a real problem.
They divided the content in 4 separate steps for that purpose, to allow people to do it bit by bit, at their pace, you're not "forced" to do all 4 towers at the same time.

I dunno, if I look at limbus on paper, it seems like they did most things right.
Yet I agree "something" isn't compelling enough. It's hard to get people and do runs, and honestly that kinda kills your will to even try, sometimes.
Maybe they should've made it a bit more... motivating? Adding "points" to NMs is good. Won't be enough but it's a nice step in the right direction.
The new gear and the augs, will they provide enough motivation for people to get involved in the content?
I sure hope so.

The problem I have with current system is they are pushing intensive content over drop in and out content.
The changes to Lillith were short term good, but long term bad. You want the drops, but once you have them you have nothing you can do that is similar and so stop playing. Everything similar like Ambuscade or dark matter fiddling for augs has already capped.
Limbus is too involved, I don't wannna do that ***. Same for lots of other stuff. I liked Lillith cause I could login, get some XP, do some runs for some potential drops for alts and fk off again. I was happy with that, but now I'm capped and now what do I have to do?
It doesn't help the devs are extreme hyper-galactic autists and make everything overly complex so you have to study the wiki for 3 days before you can properly engage with it.
All they had to do was add some ways to upgrade the lillith gear some more, add some more upgrade paths for Ambuscade, add some higher tiers for dark matter to keep that stuff going, but they didn't cause they want to push you do to limbus and sortie etc and I don't wanna do that overly involved stuff, I just cbfa.
The dumb part is they did a survey and know they have a lot of casual lazy *** players but they keep pushing the complex content and burning out the casual friendly stuff.
You cannot increase drop rates on the casual stuff and/or let people cap out and just not add more/or add more ways to keep upgrading it that are similar. MMO players quit when they have nothing let to grind for, and they won't phase up into the more involved stuff cause they fundamentally cbfa to fully engage with it.

Since returning:
- Got gold mentor flag
- Did a few Limbus clears, all graces obtained
- Picked up Gold Ballistar from Ballista
- Unlocked last few species for Monstrosity; half 99, all 60+
- Took Campaign Ops from 11/246 to 197/246 (80%)
- 1048/1082 Titles
- Only missing Jungle Chocograph, but digging is now A35
Stumped on what to do next. A few more Limbus clears? Maybe some Besieged if they somehow keep track? Liam/Navius got anything?
I highly doubt the gold flag matters, and I'm a bit unsure on Limbus/Chocographs myself. Honestly, I'd recommend just finishing up those Campaign Ops, titles, and Monstrosity.
-No prime stage 5
-No ML50 job (but Liam confirmed you can be 9 without any ML50)
-Moogle Mastery 39
-All Odyssey bosses cleared on highest Veng level, might have 2 pieces now at R30? Didn't even buy the DNC dagger from that T1 so I think that's safe.
-I have a crafting shield (Navius does, Liam did not at rank up) and all guild GP items - and now I have all the key items from every guild.
I doubt the Prime weapon matters, and MLs probably only count in so much as they increase your possible combat/magic skills. I think Moogle Mastery and Ody clears *might* count, but I'm not sure. I would have expected a crafting shield to count for more, but Liam has shown that it's not required for Rank 9.
Rank 9s:
1. What Bumba rank are you?
2. What Incursion level are you?
3. How many/which Master Trials have you cleared?
4. How much Ballista have you done? (Never done, got a few permanent titles, got the random star titles?)
5. How much Monstrosity have you done? (All 99s, unlocked all species, unlocked most species, did some?)
6. Have you killed Aminion? (Or w/e his name is)
7. What obscure/weird stuff did you do back in the day? (Like tons of Garrison, have done a lot of different BCNMs, etc.?)
1. V25 cleared, all gear at R30
2. 143 (max)
3. 5/7, I haven't cleared the most recent 2
4. I've done enough to collect all of the titles except for the Ballista Royale titles.
5. All monsters unclocked, most at level 99. I still have 9 species left to go, but they're all level 60-70.
6. Yep, many times
7. I did the uncapped Garrison (Cape Teriggan, I think) maybe once or twice... not much more than that, though. I've done most everything, not sure what counts as obscure/weird, though.
It's not that I don't think ballista titles don't count for anything, but more that they're only worth points for your account while you have access to them, which means after a week you lose their value again anyways as they're no longer present in character data. So while one of them might be the small bump to push you over a rank, when you lose it again it would likely derank you like people who deranked when they gave up campaign medals.
I don't know, maybe. The game *does* keep track of when you earn those Ballista titles (you can check with the NPC in Jeuno), regardless of whether the bards let you reset the titles. Similarly, the merit NPCs keep track of your VD HTBF clears, regardless of whether the bard is bugged for that title.
----------
Regarding Monstrosity, my theory is that it doesn't directly count as a whole lot by itself, there's just a LOT of things to unlock in there. As you level up your monsters, they learn abilities (similar to your player learning weaponskills along the way) complete with the lightbulb animation and everything. I believe that learning spells/abilities factors into Mastery Rank (I think this was confirmed?). I just think that each of those monster abilities count the same as regular player abilities. Instincts may also count similarly, which you get for each monster family at level 30/60/90. So someone who hasn't touched Monstrosity is simply missing a *bunch* of abilities, lowering their rank. Keep in mind, obtaining all of the abilities/instincts for each monster type means that you need to be damn close to fully completing Monstrosity, which is a LOT of work.

A key bind (@f11 which is windows key + f11) stopped working. If I change it to alt + f11 or ctrl + f11 the code executes. windows key + f10 also works. It must be a issue with that specific key bind combo.
The only major difference to last time I was playing is the windows 11 upgrade. Are there any known issues with key binds and windows 11 that weren't a issue with 10?
I had this exact same issue recently, really want to know what's going on and if there's a fix incoming?

I think we have all learned by now that making any attempt to logically interpret the information we're given is an effort in futility. If we're only at 60% of the content implementation at the point of Ultima/Omega, I couldn't venture to guess what the remaining 40% would be.
