If it didnt we woulnt have been doing overhaste with marches/indi haste. Haste and slow in all their forms iirc apply at the same time, just gotta subtract slow from your total haste to see where you're at as far as delay reductions go

Pairing this with itemizer and a trade addon that could handle multiple items would be so cool

I am pretty sure you misunderstood my point back then. My opinion on literature in our society has always been the same, and I was a huge fan of Blade Runner movie x2 and PKD for the same reason wayyyyyyyyyyy before 2023. So the timing isn't even correct if I changed my opinion about them in the past 2 years. No, I know you were at least familiar with Blade Runner (not sure about being a big fan) because you specifically brought it up (and 1984) in that exact conversation about esteemed scientist-thinker-novelist predictions & social commentary, but I won't get into specifics here. The discussion is still there for you to look at again if you want.
my personal political stance being different from PKD doesn't affect how I appreciate literature at all I agree with you on this, but this was not the topic.
So I got bored and asked AI if capitalism and mega corporation in fictions are portrayed in a realistic way, and AI said something similar to "yes and no" then listed a bunch of similarities and differences between rl and fictions. "it's not black and white" was my position on the topic back then :)

Going back from boxing practice with my 6 y/o nephew
He takes a look at my kindle and opens it:
-"Does this thing not have dark mode in it?"
-"It does have 'night mode' which is kinda similar"
-"Then why isn't it on?"
-"You see, I do have it on everywhere else (PC, mobile etc)" then I talked about nightmode a bit.
My little man is going elitist on me at 6 year. I'm proud of him. Can't imagine what he's gonna call me out for regarding my tech usage when we're both 10 years older.

Hey Sterk
When you cleared hard mode
Was the setup BRD/COR/GEO/MNK/RDM/WHM? THF instead of WHM. Only reason being THF is literally that person's only geared 99 job. Once they finished their prime we replaced them with our 2nd MNK we're now running with.

The puppet can survive. I don't see it doing enough damage though at higher Vs.

I see you list things like MEVA on Duban at rank 2 but I don't understand where that comes from. The rank 2 shield only has defense and shield skill on it. Are the other stats hidden?

If we just assume 40m for +2 and 4m for +1 it’s roughly 880m for a full set of +2 vs 88m for a full set of +1s, many of the +1s are bis for 1 or more stats (except for the +2) or offer some unique bonus/stat. I personally make about 40m a month without focusing on Gil, spending almost 2 years to upgrade 22 jobs for 1 slot is not appealing.
Obviously if you don’t play a job a ton, dumping the Gil is probably not worth it. Even though some like rdm give solid boosts to multiple stats. Although that varies per person.
Tier lists are ok but it’s an indirect answer to the question, I guess if you play all jobs equally which 3-7 would you +2 ? Of course reasons help
RDM. Enfeebling effect +3 and duration +5% are really good stats, which maximize strong enfeebling effect casted with Saboteur to last as long as possible. Enhancing duration is nice QoL and MND, int and macc are nice bonuses.
MNK. Kick attack rate +5% and kick damage +5 are very good for TP, especially with 2% more pdl. Kick damage and 2% more pdl are great for Tornado and Dragon kick, which are bread and butter for most fights with Godhands and Footwork up.
DRG. -5% DT for the wyvern is really nice, then additional attack, pdl and STR are grest for WSs. But if you don't play DRG in tougher content, then it might not be that important.
BRD. 1%QA and 1stp might look small, but it's quite a lot. Additional pdl on already best dagger WS neck is more important than for some other jobs having access to much more pdl options.
NIN. 5 daken, 2 stp is really good for tp and if you have prime katana its a must have, because of how perfect it is for Zesho Meppo. If you don't I would still +2 it.
Thank you for that (i already have DRG and NIN) I'll probably do MNK and RDM eventually (I don't play either much though), I don't play BRD much either and when i do I'm not DDing, so that's probably a pass for me...

Stage2 also has the Slowly devours your soul: -1hp and -1mp per tic. Its really good for most PLD content since you can't be slept and with majesty can wake the rest of the party as needed.
Aegis handles most of PLDs endgame and Stage2 Duban handles the rest.
I do use Srivatsa for kiting in Sortie and casting majesty protect.

Point your attention to the shield size part of this page. Block rate and % of damage blocked is huge.

Dipping my tie into PLDing: I made an Aegis and Burtgang, those both make sense to me. Why is Duban good at the second stage? All it has on it is shield skill. Is that really enough?

From sims* and parses (exact numbers are dependent on buffs, attack cap, enemy stats, and TP thresholds), Expiacion falls behind Savage Blade by ~7%, and Imperator falls behind Savage Blade by ~15%. Expiacion makes up for that damage difference with Tizona's AM3 for content where that makes sense to keep up, and Imperator makes up for the damage difference if you can consistently and reliably 3-step skillchain.
Does the sim take into account AM3 with Expiacion? if so im fairly shocked the difference between it and Savage is so large. Savage def hits a bit harder but AM3 is basically WS spam. I thought it would easily close/surpass the gap

not sure if that was HQ Aminon or normal Normal. We already had our Mesos when we started doing double MNK so we have no reason to try Hard mode until we get stage 4 on our next prime, but we only play every other month, so it'll be a while until we try out Hard mode.

Honestly, that group doing double mnk on Aminon is a bit like Papesse doing anything on Smn.
Fun to watch, but actually doing it is beyond most monks or smns.

Azimuth does have more macc if you are just counting the 5/5 sets but it depends on if you have Regal Cuffs or Geomancy+4.
5/5 Azimuth+3 = 338 macc, 192 MND, 214 INT
5/5 Geomancy+3 = 300 macc, 181 MND, 175 INT
5/5 Geomancy+4 = 350 macc, 206 MND, 175 INT
The set you should be wearing for pure macc is the following
4/5 Geomancy+3, regal earring and Azimuth hands+3 = 342 macc, 195 MND, 192 INT.
Obviously the +4 just makes each piece better.
4/5 Geomancy+4, regal earring and Azimuth hands+3 = 382 macc, 215 MND, 192 INT.
If you have Regal Cuffs you will want to use those instead for the extra duration. This does lower macc by 45 if you are using Azimuth+3 and a slight drop in MND.
4/5 Azimuth+3 and Regal Cuffs = 293 macc
4/5 Geomancy+3, Regal Cuffs and Regal Earring = 297 macc
4/5 Geomancy+4, Regal Cuffs and Regal Earring = 337 macc

Were you checking the +3 or +4 of the Geomancy set?

It's just a curiosity of mine, because I've still heard of LSes whipping out GEO/Indi Haste for stuff like Bastok Dyna D Wave 2 slow aura boss, and things like it. A slow aura, etc is going to overwrite and prevent you from using the regular haste slot. Which often means that you aren't just eating slow, but you're no longer capping magic haste.
What using other haste sources is doing here is letting you recap magic haste even without the normal haste buff slot. You're still eating the slow penalty, but at least you're not slowed and at uncapped magic haste. So there is some merit to it, with regards to attack speed?
|
|
 |
|
|
What do people use for enfeebling sets? I see the guides point to Geomancy set, but I can't see what the value of "Set: Enhances magic accuracy". Azimuth seems to beat it out on MND, INT and Macc in most cases.
