The real endgame is seeing how many times you gotta use Malignance Box to get the piece you're missing, being 4/5. I know you'll eventually get it, but it'll be funny to be like "Sweet, just need Boots, and now I have a box."

6 real players can just join Lilith HTBF together, and everyone gets their freebie Malignance pieces quicker. Absolutely no reason to solo it now.
While you may be right in that its faster to team up, I think the reality is some people team up when they're 4/5 and say stuff like "hands mines" and let everyone lot the other 4 pieces, there's no incentive for that now. |

I've always seen the underlying preferential attention and promptness towards the JP playerbase as downstream of how SE handled the game's international launch, with JP players generally reacting pretty negatively when NA players started showing up on their servers. This is also why I personally believe Dragon Quest X has remained a JP exclusive title to this day. These are just my schizo theories, though.

They are never going to add a universal AH, the main push for that is from RMT because they want to farm stuff on low pop servers to sell on Asura (where 90% of their buisness is). It's not going to happen, it's incredibly complicated and counter productive. Also they won't even increase the server data cap from 56k (that is responsible for most of the lag in the game), upgrade from directx8 or fix the ui font icons (that are still made for square CRT monitors) and you think they will do something 100 times more complicated?
They posted how to obtain malignance armor now.
Quote: Malignance armor will now drop as a "Malig. Box" instead of specific armor pieces.
Opening the Malig. Box causes it to change into a piece of Malignance armor.
If the armor is a piece you already have, it will change back into a Malig. Box and you can repeat the process.
Note: Due to the way the system works, you may need to use the Malig. Box more than once if you already have multiple pieces of the set.
The downside? Everyone is now going to spam after patch harder than they did when they added the Shinryu BCNM, so I hope you're ready for hour long queue times. If Lillith shares the same area as Odin etc, queue times are going to be hilariously massive for all of them (and even after this, the drop rate on VE/E is still around 1/10-15. I'm not even going near it for a couple of months
If people are dumb enough to complain about queue times again, after what happened last time and then increasing the merit point to enter there is no hope for them.
That's a pretty forgiving system. Even with long queues I'll be done farming Lilith for my two alts in a week. Most people will, since they've removed duplicate armor drops from the pool, essentially. The long queues won't persist.

Idk, but you could easily tell it's been that way for a long time just from how the game is promoted in live or in person events. They'd have one T shirt and a Mandragora booth in The USA for a "FFXI" event here and there'd be an entire parade in Japan. Can also be seen in their translation efforts.
If you show bias at the top level in any organization, it will trickle down to employees and be seen as acceptable.

I've seen some noise about Gamepass recently, but never read into it. Wasn't that service like $10/month previously?
That was a long time ago. I've never had it because I haven't owned an xbox since the 360, but they have raised prices a few times since then. It was 19.99 now they are raising it to 30. People are fleeing to cancel. |

So it's ok for SE to ignore potentially valid reports because they consider NA community "whiny babies"? Are you not supposed to report violation of the TOS? Don't they literally encourage that? The hell do you mean "whiny babies"?
SE absolutely has a bias in favor of JP and they don't even try to hide it. I posted a link to ballista royale the other day, and I completely had forgotten that SE secretly planned for the winner of the NA ballista team to play the JP team, evidently they disclosed this to the JP winners but never told the NA. This gave the JP an unbelievably unfair advantage against NA players and they never acknowledged how biased and dirty of a move that was. They've been shamefully biased towards JP players for years.
My question came off as facetious, but I am actually curious about where the bias originates. Was there a time that they did listen to NA players, or has it always been this way? |

That would be cool, but there's no confirmation of +5s. Initially, they described Limbus as offering multiple upgrades iirc. I think people assumed multiple upgrades for the respective JSE pieces, but this could also simply mean the +4s, accessories and another set of things from Ultima/Omega. Furthermore, Fujito was asked about +5s and he was coy about the topic, saying they would implement them of there was enough player interest. |

If I clear all T2 on v20 with friends and want to pop T3 v20, is T1 relevant to being able to pop T3? Or is it only the previous Tier?

WoW uses battlegroups, or clusters of servers that are connected for auction, dungeon queue and PvP battlegrounds. Linked, but not completely unified.
They changed it a few years back, commodity items like crafting materials, consumables, and currency items are now regionwide(so Americas, EU, Taiwan, etc). Random/variable stat items like equipment or battle pets are still battlegroup only, for now.
The XI equivalent would be stuff like reforging materials or ultimate currencies being global, but crafted gear like JSE necks or Su5 weapons still local server only.
It's still one seamless AH interface, it just queries a different pool of listings depending on what you're looking at. |

I think they obviously refer to Omega and Ultima.
Wether that implies +5 or not, I have no clue.
Normally I would be thinking about ilevel version of the original Ultima and Omega sets, and maybe a couple of new items here and there. |

Koki works really really well on C/G.
Don't even need threnody for G usually since he's dark based and Koki is light.
But do add macc to your hybrid WS sets, a single even partial resist will hurt more than the potential extra 5k dmg you get unresisted.
