Some of the pieces look interesting for pet jobs, but I'm kind of unenthusiastic about the sets.

Does anyone have a synth material yet? Where do they come from? (Both NMs and chests? Just the new central zones in Apollyon and Temenos?) Has anyone made a new equipment yet? I am curious to what the full augments are.
Someone sold the material on our server, so it's clearly obtainable. Not someone I know so I haven't heard where, but assuming gobbie box?
I don't believe anyone can make the gear yet, because the uncursing thing comes from the box upgrades, which haven't happened yet?
This is definitely speculation, but the best I know ATM. |

I haven't read too much on the fomor NMs pre-patch, but I noticed similar behavior on PLD. Sentinel didn't do anything. Neither did blocks. Didn't see any difference with low or high Defense. Rampart helped slightly, as did DT. However, I did not see a change specifically using PDT (expected based on Sentinel results) or MDT. Is it possible the auto attacks are breath damage? Or some other sort of non-elemental damage?

I found out about this one by mistake while trying to go down my inventory one page at a time (hit Alt instead of Ctrl) a while ago (and it freaked me out a little lol). I just assumed it was something they added through the years, and that people who have been playing for a while probably knew about it.

I am useing joy2key but some versions dont work and u always need to start it as admin or else alt tab or alt tab shift dont work

It's also worth noting this "problem" is the worst in the early stages of primes, and becomes less significant in the later stages.
Stage 3: 1m muffins/month spendable (33,333/day)
Stage 4: 1.25m muffins/month spendable (41,666/day)
Stage 5: 1,666,666 muffins/month spendable. (55,555/day)
So even if someone is currently stuck at stage 4, they could actually still just be on normal pace for stage 5.
Also also: if you're getting a lot of stage 4 weapons, this "problem" will be especially pronounced.

Yes, it's fine and more than quick enough. BPs take a while to go off because the pet is doing the animation to get ready to do the thing.

For real though, I'm not super elitists pos but there (other than Ody V25 that you only have to beat once) no real challenging content in the game that sets hardworking players out from average Joe. Side note: the idea that people are locked behind psyches at this point is insane. Psyches came out years ago and have been available every month since. Are there really people out there with 0 psyches, starting a prime? What is the scenario, here? Someone who hasn't played for the last 3 years and now suddenly jumped into an 8 boss group running 7 days a week for 6 months straight without missing a day? Very few, if any, players are sitting on muffins they can't spend because they're out of psyches.
Lol when i started Sortie I couldn't care less about finishing TVR, now I am gated by psyches and not points. On a good note, I get a stg 4 this month. |

Well, the NMs in CN Apollyon are pulling that "Sentinel doesn't work" *** again. Code [12:14:29]Martel uses Sentinel.

Nah you can't get two KIs in one box. Literally never seen it ever, and I have done an awful lot of Abyssea.
You can have two boxes spawn in the exact position, open both, and each has a different KI while looking to an onlooker like it's the same box, though.
The Rare item pops for preliminary mobs, though, yeah you can see multiple of the same or different in the same box. Perfect, thanks! I was pretty sure, but I never want to rule anything out when I'm trying to figure out exactly how awful something can be. (It's Glavoid, obviously.)
(Certainly don't mind multiple of the same Rare pop, that's why they gave us that lovely "add all lottable spoils to treasure pool" button.) |

Paging up and down has been in the game as long as I can remember. I use it a lot. But how did you find out in the first place? They didn't tell us anywhere??
Also I always forget it but the command:
/localsettings blureffect off
Is good too. They added it and did actually tell us about it once, but it's not like there is proper documentation of FFXI on their website.

Everyone likes different aspects of the game. I have mules, and the reason I have them is I LOVE the shield Grind!! 3 mules done so far....
Some people love the Limbus grind. Its what they enjoy.

(and you will run out of Empyrean armor to +3 by the 110th day if you get a Starstone every day).
Aminon drops a Starstone 100% of the time on top of the Old Case +1 and 30k Galli, so this isn't a question of luck, it's an inevitability |

what are the odds Condition 3 on your server is spawn ???, based on it being 0/1
Which is very broken in Temenos.
Also its possible you have four conditions because some of them are large amounts.

Anecdotally, I know a handful in this position, including myself.
Otherwise, you're 100% correct. If sortie was so easy, Even 8 boss runs, then many more players would be doing it. Even on Asura CAGE shouts are still common. The fights themselves are not too difficult, but the coordination and commitment is what is challenging.
Also its 8.52m for a stage 5 prime? Unless K123 meant starting from stage 3. Weird stipulation |

do you still get the 138 defense from null masque or did it get nerfed to 0 defense?
They dedicated a entire set to sword enhancement spell damage? Glad to see RDM finally getting the buffs it so desperately needs. I'm getting 213 defense equipping Null masque vs an empty slot. So that's 50 VIT x 1.5=75+138=213 |
