As I understand it in simple terms:

dINT is like fSTR, but it checks vs. the Mob's INT stat(whereas STR goes against VIT). It's the difference between your INT and the Mob's. More INT more better for all tiers of nukes and any magic WS with a dINT variable.

Macc affects resist rates. Resist rates have tiers, and each level of being resisted cuts damage or effect potency in half, depending on what the resist roll check was for the mob. When you get enough of it, they only get one roll, so you'll almost always hit your highest numbers by going unresisted.

MAB is a stat that is compared to a mob's MDB(Magic Defense Bonus). Just like with Attack vs. Defense, it directly impacts how much damage your spells or magic WS will be capable of. If a mob has really high MDB, you want to lower their MDB and raise your MAB by a lot to directly raise your damage.

Magic Damage is a flat addition to your spell or magic WS damage. Think Naegling's +217 Magic Damage. This will add 217 damage to any of your nukes or magic WS, making it very valuable for low level spells and less valuable for high level ones, it's the smallest increase but an increase nonetheless.

When gearing for high end nuking, afaik, it goes something like INT > MAB > Magic Damage, wherein your Macc needs mostly matter for free nuking because you mostly nuke on MBs where Macc still matters but matters a lot less (and generally MAB gear will have a lot macc anyway).

But I'm no mage main at all, so someone else can probably explain it better.

All good info, keep the comments coming guys.

My strategies don't have minutia like using remedy, panacea, how to use your JA, or all the nitty-gritty. Some of them (especially due to the comment limit on Discord, where I have saved them...) are quite brief and assume a good amount of knowledge of your jobs.

Unfortunately, I think if you list out every thing every job is supposed to be doing all the time and the tiny details that improve performance, it will turn each strategy into a textbook so I'll probably continue to leave those details out.

I'm gonna keep editing in new strats as people post them, so keep 'em coming if you've got something different to what others have already posted.

Actually I was generally the person giggling and correcting people (and probably still not 100% correct myself on everything, but confident and nerdy enough to bring people to believe me/in me.)

However!

When I went through Nuclear Field A School in the Navy, I had to do an Electronics Lab at some point with an Oscilloscope. My buddy Perez convinced this cute girl that was considered to be the airhead of our class into our lab group.

I was reading through the instructions, and came to the word, "Disheveled."

I was reading aloud.

Without thinking twice I spoke the word, "Diss-heaveled." As I'd never heard it spoken aloud, and I'd read it to myself that way in many a novel.

Miss Airhead giggles and pipes up, "Diss-Heaveled? Do you mean, "Dish-eveled?"

Confronted with two of my worst fears. Looking dumb and cute girls! And now a cute girl was making me look/feel dumb! Her cute giggling and correction will haunt me until I'm belly up in the grave!

This was finally the karmic rebalance for my years of roasting my fellow XI LSmates.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say, just because we do not observe it doesnt mean server side it runs a QA/TA/DA check on the attack round.

Byrth said he OHKOed 5 rabbits in a row on thf without having gil deducted, then the 6th deducted gil. The only logical explanation is the first 5 rabbits were OHKOed by an attack round that proced triple attack (even though the second and third attacks never happened), the 6th rabbit was not a TA attack round.

Hes NOT getting deducted gil because those swings would have been triple atks.

Obviously, I was just trying to understand the methodology since the gil loss (or not) is observable (for reasons stated) since the actual attack rounds cannot be observed.

All great options to consider, I was just mentioning what worked for us in that specific scenario.

Vile elixirs didn't help that much tbh, its a brief semi fill of a low mp pool and is empty again after 3-4 attack rounds. I get what your saying but the constant mp refresh from SV ballad and entrust refresh in lobby was invaluable for constant long term enmity reduction.

I mean its easily soloable/lowmanable on a lot of jobs on VD, you just have to avoid quenching hammer either via tp denial or job choices and have some kind of plan in case adds pops. I don't think I'll bother making an ambuscade video for this month since frog low mans have been done to death.

All of schere earring, yngvi choker and dirge are separate calculations IME.

For yngvi choker my preference was to use it at the start of the fight, which then gives you the option to swap to a more defensive/offensive set under 25%.

We dropped carol on war for SV ballad and entrust refresh in lobby. Used Schere full time and didn't have an issue, won next entry iirc.

I'll post my write ups as well when I have a moment but mine are not nearly as detailed lol. I find it redundant to post some stuff that should simply be understood at this point when people are doing v25.

DRK on Kalunga is good because of Soul Enslavement's ability to completely deplete the first Matamata's TP, so you don't get hit with an errant Debilitating Spout. It also has Last Resort which will give it JA haste and allow it to DPS much faster than WAR. Warcry and Tomahawk are big, but IMO, Kalunga isn't really a DPS race so you're not completely in need of those buffs. WAR also can't cap attack speed without Samba, so it is inherently slower, but in my experience, is a fascinating DD regardless, and riding Warcry for the party is lovely. Tomahawk is big, especially with two conflicting Savage Blades impacting the WS Wall.

There's a case to be made for either job in Kalunga comp (our clear we used both, no BLU), the issue with DRK I have seen is hitting the hate ceiling too fast and basically ending the run. I haven't seen that to be an issue with BLU+WAR comp.

WAR hitting the hate ceiling was an issue for our group and ended a couple attempts before we resolved it. It's definitely possible and I witnessed it first hand as the WAR.
