She's at fault for traveling with it.
The CDC didn't prevent her from traveling.
ftfy, still her fault.

Ftfy

That was the CDC's job.
no, it isn't

They had no legal or medical reason to quarantine her until she fully broke out with symptoms, stop projecting your delusional fantasy upon the world.

You're an idiot. Waiting till someone is contagious before enacting a quarantine defeats the whole purpose of a quarantine. The family of Thomas Duncan got quarantined and they didn't show any symptoms. Explain that one.

From Wiki:

Its main goal is to protect public health and safety through the control and prevention of disease, injury, and disability. The CDC focuses national attention on developing and applying disease control and prevention.

From the CDC's own site:

The federal government

Acts to prevent the entry of communicable diseases into the United States. Quarantine and isolation may be used at U.S. ports of entry.

Is authorized to take measures to prevent the spread of communicable diseases between states.

May accept state and local assistance in enforcing federal quarantine.

May assist state and local authorities in preventing the spread of communicable diseases.

"If a quarantinable disease is suspected or identified, CDC may issue a federal isolation or quarantine order."

Ok, we'll quarantine all medical professionals now, hell we may as well throw Dallas under lock down.

Again: there was no medical or legal justification for a quarantine of the nurse or nurses.

Need to quarantine everyone who was has been within 100 meters of Thomas Duncan. This means, every passenger on the plane, everyone at the airport, everyone in the cities he visited, everyone who has been in the hospital on both days, all of Texas just in case.
Right! can't act like there's a danger or anything. It'll give the administration BAD PR.

WRONG again!

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Tom Frieden said she never should have stepped foot on the flight...

But there was for the family of Thomas Duncan?

You confuse danger and appropriate responses and then there's widespread panic and overreaction, you're well within the range if not past the latter.

Not wrong at all but you don't comprehend the difference.

Yes there were legal and medical reasons to quarantine his "family" and not the medical professionals who cared for him.

So you want a massive government with a lot of powers, spending a fortune to quarantine and enforcing the said quarantine despite the economic repercussion it'll have on the state of Texas and the whole country?

Isn't that everything you've been fighting against?
supposedly*

false cover*

hypocrisy at it's finest*

The CDC is working as the mantra says it should: give advice/guidelines and leave it up to the private/local/state level to operate and to take that into account if they so desire. To say that it should operate any other way shoots to ***their entire political agenda, they're playing a risky game by trying to make this political, when it has really nothing to do with it, on either side.

It's one of the few good things about not giving them an exorbitant budget, as then we can hold the individual hospitals and organizations that run them responsible for their failures. (In theory*)
