My dad wants to buy/rent Avatar. He won a new TV or some ***, the other night. I'm gonna try to talk him outta buying Pocavatar.
Should have never bought Pocahontas then because its just a huge ripoff of Dances with Wolves(1990). Avatar is not the first movie to tell an existing story in a new way, there are a finite number of morals that are taught and retaught in our media and that doesn't make any of them less important or impactful. Avatar uses its serene realism and attention to detail to cause audiences to fall in love and lose themselves within the world of Pandora. Its the most moving cinematic experience I have had to date, and the story isn't half bad either. =) And to say I contributed something in this post. | | v
The first one was no cinematic masterpiece by any means, but holy hell this was a giant flying turd in comparison.
