I was just discussing with my sister yesterday how you can still view some geocities websites. Pick your fav geocities site and replace the g with an r. Reocities mirrors alot of old websites, but not everything works as I think you had to register your site.

I used to have a geocities site when I was like 10 :), actually had about 20 websites, since you could only have so much space..Id then just link the websites together. I made my own graphics and had lens flares on everything and a starry background and used comic sans. Great stuff.

I think somewhere I have screenshots of what deviantart and gaiaonline looked like a good 6 years ago or so, I actually still call gaia, go-gaia at times.

I remember my first MMO. Neverwinter nights. The fancy one back in '94 or '95. Played just like the TSR games like Pools of Radiance. Good times, especially since I thought local calls were free, and we connected through a local number. The first $200+ phone bill was a rude awakening.

I remember the first time I was on the internet, was at my Uncle's. Was looking at WCW website I think, and got the "you are our 1,000,000th customer you have won $10,000!!!" popup. I freaked out and ran and got everyone in the hosue to tell them I won ;; lol
