this happened to me at the Pub last week while playing darts...
on my winning shot, I yell out "Woot, my throwing skill went up .05!!!" All my friends who were either tipsy or drunk, look at me like O.oWTF... Good thing they forgot about it the next morning.

right now, I'm hoping a mob is nearby that aggroes by Sound so this guitarist guy on stage can get attacked...

I've done that several times when talking to people on AIM/Messenger, along with typing /p or /l before the message. Do that in IMs all the time as well. Really makes the auto-translate/fill-in feature seem useful. lol
Yeah I'll do the /p or /l thing before text messages sometimes too LOL
I do all the typing stuff too... typing /l, hitting escape on msn, trying to auto-translate... *sigh*

Anyway, for some reason everyone around me had a pet, and I was talking to a LS Mate of mine Screaming and throwing a Temper Tantrum that I wanted a Pet. So then Finaly I reach into my pocket and say "Fine I'll use this as my Pet" and pull a Bee out >.> My LS Mate says "No don't he'll Sting you!" Then my Bee Flies away, and I started Crying ;~; And then I woke up >.> Still Trying to figure out why I had a Bee in my pocket. <.< >.> I have a classic example of spending too much time in this game, LOL...
I live in Oregon, and I was driving to Portland one day, a city I'm unfamiliar with. I was getting kind of lost, but I knew which general direction I should be going. For some reason, I found myself continuously looking at the lower, left-hand corner of my windshield.....I must have done it half a dozen times or so, before it finally occurred to me that I was searching for the on-screen compass to help myself navigate. >,>;; I have the music way down when I play FFXI, 10 clicks from the left actually. I spend the majority of my playtime listening to people talk in ventrilo, but I don't want it entirelly silent, hence why the in-game volume is so low. However, I've become adjusted to very faintly hearing the in-game music when I play. So some days, I'll be in my moghouse for one reason or another and I hear the music playing; but when I look to see if my speakers are on, they aren't. =\

Humming the chocobo theme while driving is definitely one sign I've been playing too much FF in general.

Hm, me and some (found over XB-Live first) friends only call us with our gamertags/I-names, and we met several times in the last 5-6 years and went on vacation together. Using our real names would be very strange to us for sure . :) I once woke up from the horrible sound of my alarm clock thinking "GODDAMNIT SOMEONE FINALLY VOKE IT OFF!!"- I was totally confused for minutes because i didn't hear the voke-sound.. so I kept waiting lol
Also, being in bed and having your girlfriend shouting "{CASTING SPELL.} {CURE}!!!" to wake you up at 5 o'clock in the morning is a brutal way to loose Sleep-debuff, seriously >.> LMFAO ... Yay! for addictions ... -_-
I play waayyy to much when it comes to Video Games in general but ... FFXI specific I sait "aru" after words that end in a "t" ... i.e. Me : Hey <t> whataru you up to later? <t> : Nothing.. You? Me : I mightaru look for a party... <t> : orly Who's throwing a party? Me : facepalm meh .. and if you don't mind for those who play D&D i have made a character sheet of myself and used it as a resume .. no callbacks though ;; |
