Gae Bolg With 6hit/5hit Setup

I'm planning on doing DRG eventually and Gae Bolg caught my eye (D92 Delay:551). The damage on it isn't great but I was thinking the high delay could be useful for tweaking with STP.

Doesn't give up any haste and seems pretty efficient to me, and works /war /nin /mage or anything. Seems like most DRG go /SAM though so...

Seems pretty solid and only sacrifices 3 haste. If you really want to keep the haste carbonara is an option too. The gear used isn't too difficult to obtain, and you could probably dump the white tath and just count on jumps/overflow TP from WS (or get Aurum Cuirass >.>). Thoughts?

there are D:99 492Delay lances available from magians now and you want to gimp your melee DoT and drakesbane output that much?

Doh, so I guess no option for that extra STP outside carbonara?

Swap Askar to Aurum (as its a better body piece any way)
Swap T.Ring to Ecp ring
Swap PCC to Chiv chain

That makes up for the Enkidu.

Agreed. Its not worth it. You can get a 6 hit with a skystrider, and then basically a 4 hit with the right gear on top of the +5tp from jumps.

Drakes-> meditate -> hit twice -> drakes -> hit once, jump+highjump - > drakes...

Cant do that with a gae bolg.

You have the right idea, but if you compare the time taken to 100% TP with a standard 492 lance and then check the decrease in melee DoT from your higher delay, you're about the same as a blank 492 <_< and then the 492 have stats on top of that...
