Fond Memories Of Fairy

I know there's already a Goodbye thread, I'm hoping this will stay more or less exclusive to the Fairy population and on topic ~

Having said that, I'm feeling rather emo about there only being a little more than 12 hours left of Fairy's life so I decided to share my fondest memory and I'm hoping others will share.

My best memories are all tied up with a social linkshell named FellowshipOfTheArts. It was my first real social and despite not playing on PS2 and not having a keyboard (for nearly 3 years of playing!), I made my best friends in this shell. We were all giant noobs, none of us had a job over leveled past 60, and everything was new and fantastic.

We'd do things like farm coffer keys, which would take about 6 of us and we'd still die a bunch, missions, camp NM's for eachother, and just random stuff.

I've been unable to make friends like I had in that shell since

Welcome :) That's my spot too! I'm sorry your nastalgic about Fairy, but it's still the same people just a different roof :)

Spence, welcome to Sylph!! I started the game a few years ago on Odin, then transferred to Sylph last year. You are right, the friends you first start the game out with end up being your besties :)

I trust you will make more friends on Sylph too. Hit me up in game to say hi once you cross over!

Yesterday I was the only person in Vulkurm dunes.
It was *** pathetic.

My best friend got me to play this game, back when you couldn't choose you server. Had to get a world pass to start up on Fairy, and I'm going to log out in Palaborough Mines where Zi'Ghi Boneeater pops. Was the first NM I killed, right after getting RDM to 30, because I wanted that sword to level dark.

God I miss all the trains Stevoman and I used to make through that zone just to mass kill stuff while wasting time.

I've been on the fairy server for six years and it's sad to think that the server is going to be no more. They'll probably end up using it for FFXIV. It's sad, but at the same time exciting because now we're going to have tons of other players on Sylph to help bring the game back to life.

Whats it like on a merger server? is the AH completely Empty?

Eden was the linkshell that killed it, killed it pretty quickly - they just kraken drk'd it down while people outside healed them. They were fortunate enough to lock its 2 hours and casts, iirc.

2 Mars Rings, 1 Bellona's Ring, 1 Aureole, 1 Raphael's Rod.

think only a couple of those items still remain with the people who have them, most of the others no longer are on Fairy or were sold

Mirabella has the Aureole, the lolrod went to Eudon, Mert's Mars was sold, and Idk where Mefya's is. The Bellona's I'm not sure... Maybe Eudon? No idea where they are... But still! Fairy had couple AV kills! Something to remember fondly.

Sounds like a hell of a party, wish I was still there.
