Napkin maths incoming!
Before Rose Strap, it basically wasn't viable as you lost your 6-hit unless you were popping Carbonara or had VFork. With Rose Strap, you can maintain your 6-hit with Wyrm +1 but you're giving up 4% DA, 5 STR, and 12 attack (Askar + Pole) assuming you're not sacrificing hitrate (at which point Aurum/Pole basically won by default). 4% DA is 109/105=3.8% to your non-Jump-based DPS, 5 STR ~0.5%, and the attack another ~1.33%. That totals up to ~5.63%... 2% haste is only going to match that in high-haste situations. If you don't have at least 63% haste before Wyrm +1, Askar + Pole > Wyrm +1 + Rose. Figure with Vfork is a bit lower since your base DA is a bit higher.
Of course, now we have Bradamante, which devalues DA... and it also allows Wyrm +1 to be used without Rose Strap. Wyrm +1 will overtake Askar/Aurum at a much lower level of haste if you're using the OAT polearm.
EDIT for posterity: I didn't include the effect of TP overflow from DA , which would allow Wyrm +1/Rose to overtake Askar/Pole a bit sooner. Not so soon that it really changes when you'd use it though.
