I actually don't see whats wrong with celebrities expressing their political opinions. Most that are politically active are educated and progressive. E.g. Jodie Foster.

Its not like we see Lady Gaga doing antisemitic rallies. Or Britney Spears saying all gays should burn in hell. To the contrary these celebrities are expressing humanitarian, progressive, and humane views... which tbh isn't all that bad.

I'm glad that celebs like Lady gaga,Britney spears, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Ellen Degeneres, Jodie Foster, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie etc.. etc... are vocal in interviews regarding gay rights. Because this is helping mold future generations to be more understanding and accepting of others.

I don't have a problem with people who have a platform educating others. I just prefer that people become informed and make their own decisions instead of making their decisions because popular person A said so. But maybe I give people too much credit. I am in the south, after all, and have seen that ignorance is the primary language of a majority of people, and it bothers me when I talk to someone who has clearly only picked up buzzwords and has no idea what they're really talking about.

And I prefer people who are tolerant because it's popular to those who are bigoted because of generations of bred intolerance and ignorance. At least the people doing what's popular still have the chance to learn from it.

I dont want to generalize people in the south, particularly cause i'm in california. However, Plato (that greek philosopher) yah Mr Plato said "the common man is too ignorant to think for himself" (paraphrasing). This was one of the main reoccuring ideas he expressed in Plato's Republic.

What day does Monday come after? The song didn't tell me!! /panic

In all seriousness, I can't get that song out of my head! I wish it was Saturday, or Sunday which comes afterwards, so that I wouldn't have to think about what day it is today.

TGIFF? Not anymore!

I just want FFXI to come back so I can get back to PARTYIN' PARTYIN' YEA!

That looks like an interesting read. I'll have to check it out. Do you have experience in philosophy?

Shay! *pokes/tackles/hugs/squeezes/pets/otherrandomdisplaysoffriendship* We discovered how to make bread with just a sheet of paper!

Also, found a site of drunk texts, made me laugh really hard at some of the acts of stupidity on there. And at the same time, I started to miss some of the stuff I used to do. XD

Been quite the week for me @_@ I think with my pics alone I both scarred & made people smile with them, lol.

So...I been playing Neopets (yeah yeah lol, but the games are kinda fun...but its way different then what it used to be x_x) one of the new "Dailies" is called apple bobbing...and well you vituraly bob for apples, you get random haunted items/spooky food or an avatar iif you are lucky, but sometimes you lose your neoponts...or get this message:

Quote:

As you gaze into the water, about to bob your head in for a chance at appley-goodness, you notice a reflection in the water. It's Bart's hat. You're suddenly struck by a strange, uncomfortable feeling. Feeling ill at ease, you decide to skip bobbing for apples and head straight home. You don't sleep well.

Is it me or that sound rather... wrong for something thats being said on a children/young teens based website? or am I just a perv?
