Hmmm idk lol
I won't be joining anything that can be seen on my profile. I keep a low profile on fb - if word got out back in my hometown that I'm gay, my parents could very quickly find themselves unemployed. XD
Edit: also if this ends up like the time way back when everyone in the thread started skyping each other, this thread will slow down and possibly die. XD

you can PM me if you want (and are unable to get) access otherwise. Any member can invite though.

"Reminder haiku" is more than five, since haiku at least is 3 mora, with reminder being 3+ (dunno how to count mora with english words, it's either 3 or 4)

I'll elaborate then.
In the case of my mother, she's a psychiatrist. She depends on the business of those who choose to come to her for help.
Upon finding out that her son is gay, people would force her into publicly stating her stance on LGBT issues. If she tells the truth and acknowledges her support for me, she loses business. If she tries to appease the hyperconservative side of things, she also loses business.
Lose-lose situation.

oftentimes in english haiku is pronounced as 2 syllables, reminder is 3.

yes but haiku are based off of 5-7-5 mora patterns, not syllables actually.

you can count syllables in Japanese..anything ending in n and any elongated vowels and diphthongs can be measured as a syllable. And it's not a haiku if it doesnt follow mora :<

Well fine, my poem was in 5-7-5 syllable format that coincidentally is my variation of a 5-7-5 mora haiku but, actually isn't a haiku.
You happy?

its an english haiku. haiku's in english do not follow the morae pattern, they follow the syllable pattern.
and while you can count japanese in syllables, its more correct to count in morae.

but meh I'm hoping as each generation dies out we'll become more tolerant of a race. I mean look at humankind 50 years ago It is dieing out, atleast up here... The old people generally openly scoff at it (amoung many other things, having to take care of the fake baby thing for parenting in high school was fun when the baby was black and I'm white as a ghost XD pritty much everyone had jaw dropper stories involving old people on their turns taking it for the week). When compaired to people my age the only time anyone seems to have a problem with it is if theres someone going after them and doesn't seem to want to accept that they are straight.
Meow!
First post ever... =3
I am a long time lurker. I finally worked up the courage to post, mainly thanks to Carrelo.

Only people who are members of the group can see anything about the group. If someone isn't a member, they can't even see if you are like on your wall or what ever its called.

Ohai, Bukhis!!!
Just curious to see how many of us actually play FFXI. **Now, let's try to keep this clean, please don't respond if you have nothing nice to say.** :] Don't be shy, speak up! :D
EDIT: You don't have to be gay to post in here, if you want to be apart of our conversations.. feel free to join in! Don't be shy, we don't bite.. well some of us do! :] Anyyyyyways~! This thread has become a home to many from the LGBT community & even some from the straight community who are open minded and enjoy chit-chatting with us, :] so let's keep it drama free, we deserve a place where we can be ourselves without being made fun of/harassed.
