I use Quicksilver... mostly because i only use Cor for pulling in salvage. I have a broken coffinmaker which if i ever planed to DD with my cor I'd break out. Yes i know i can pull with darts or a chakram and switch back for shots, but it's more work then i really need to go through to be successful.

If i had to give 1 gun to rule them all definatly Martial, unless you had no plan to EVER Slug Shot.
Outside of pulling, if your going to full time Leaden Salute, and not worry about DQ damage... go for Peacemaker
If you just have way to much time and wanna make yourself cry... go break a coffinmaker.
If you have a few mil to spend on your Epeen... Corsair's Gun +1.

If I may interject, I keep two guns on hand only. Martial Gun and Corsair's Gun. Corsair's gun is for QD only. Martial Gun is for WS purposes, obviously. However, where I differ is my choice item for pulling in merit parties (or elsewhere, I suppose). I use a Lamiabane. I use a pair of macros; one of which equips the chakram and any gear I want to use while I am pulling, the other macro equips my gun, ammo, m.acc gear, and uses Light Shot on incoming mobs. This idea allowed me to sell off my, now pretty much useless Peacemaker, and saves a boatloat of cash and inventory space if you're even using the cheapest of bullets. When meriting then, all you're using is light cards and shihei.

and the TP lost during this process is what? and wait you leveled corsair and your trying to be frugal?

If I'm pulling in a good merit party, I never have time to get TP. Roll > pull > sleep > roll > pull > sleep is pretty much all that happens.

My frugality is not part of the discussion!

While the high recast kinda makes this point moot, Coffinmaker IS the best gun for Barrage. Not a big deal, but no one had pointed that out yet.

PLEASE DO NOT SAY SITUATIONAL!!!!!

I'm curious to know what all you other Cor's use and why, Why the hell do people use Peacemaker at 75 o.O? (Apart from pulling in a merit PT is it any use?)

And how do you know.... when you "Outparse" someone, apart from the obvious ways.... who the hell knows exactly what % of DMG they are doing total in a Party and how O_O!?
Don't asl me... some weirdo in my merit PT claims he was doing 33% of total PT DMG... I'm like whoa o.O
Anyway, your input will be much appreciated!

Peacemaker; pulling.
Martial gun; TP/WS
Corsair Gun +1; QD

Peacemaker is also pretty beast in level syncs at a certain level, since weapons still keep their delay the same. Then again, last time I level sync'd on COR was during the stone age.

That person who claimed he did 33% of the damage was bullshitting you. Yes it's possible to out-parse sucky *** DDs, but in any standard meripo, you're looking on avg. 9~15% over-all damage.

But yeah, ***'s situational in the end. =(

I think it was mentioned earlier, but Veuglaire is definitely the best option for QD dding on anything with potential to resist. The damage difference is VERY minimal, and in truth, you will end up doing more damage due to less resists. It's also best for Leaden Salute, as long as you're meleeing for TP and not shooting.

QD/Leaden Salute - Veuglaire

Pulling, Level Sync, /WHM or /SCH - Peacemaker

Slug Shot/Detonator/Leaden Salute - Martial Gun

Actually glad this was bumped...or I would have missed this...

Hmmmm... Not gonna start an arguement, and I'm open to admitting that I COULD be wrong...

But Veuglaire doesnt not seem like it will hold up against a Corsair's Gun (or +1)
Its already 6 LESS base damage then a NQ C.gun.
and with the proper AGI build... accuracy shouldn't be a problem.
How can you say Veuglaire out performs C.gun on QD for damage and less resists?

Below is my QD Set up for COR/BLU
My C.Gun has +13 MP and +2 M.Acc
Mirke is the QD delay down and MAB +4

Granted...the gear needs some work...
but even on HQ-UFO's in sea I'm still busting out over 400+
on elemental day (No weather...but HQ Staff and Obi)

6 Damage is huge on QD, so there's no way to justify the difference regardless of how much MAB you have to back it up.

Most definitely!
My question was how can one say that the Veuglaire is the best option for high resists... when that is a easily taken care of with a proper AGI build.

The Veuglaire does not have MAB, it has MA. MA is a direct % of the damage. In this case, 5%. I have ran tests myself on Fafnir, kirin, dynamis, sandworm, birds, and a lot more. The damage from Veuglaire comes out exactly the same as Coffinmaker, which is only 1 base damage less then Corsair's Gun. So its almost the same as corsiar's, with 5 MACC. It really is a great gun.

I never said it had MAB. I said no amount of MAB can make up for 6 DMG lost.

MAB cant make up for the damage lost, but MA can, and does. Maybe you should get the gun and try it out.

I have 6 less AGI and 2 less macc than you and still manage to get resists with repeated use on HL mobs.

The difference between Veuglaire and Corsair's gun is minimal.
Veuglaire is Magic Attack 5 NOT Magic Attack Bonus 5

I notice the gap between Corsair's and Veuglaire (which is only about 5 damage to begin with) gets smaller with more MAB.

Now, yes. A lot of damage is nice. But ONE resist totally ruins your damage output. It's gonna take a LOT of shots to make up for that 150 damage lost on a resist. By the time you've made it up, you've probably been resisted a few more times.

The minimal damage sacrifice is worth the lessened resist rate. Especially on HL mobs, like gods.

What food do you use?
Keep in mind, I also set BLU for sub, which give me +5 more AGI.

so that's 11 less then me.
as i said, I COULD be wrong, but I honestly don't get resisted THAT much over time...
What else could be different in our Set-ups?

Im not sure how much MP you have, but if you have enough you could go cassandra/helenus earring set, for rings Omega/Insect ring, and i like to use denali feet. Theres no way to tell if AGI or m.acc is best, but i like macc

There's never any agi food on AH, so I usually just pop a squid sushi 1. (AGI 5)

I'm not saying the resists are common, but just one resist makes a nice cut into your expected damage output.

Hmmm... i use the same food...
I completely understand how one resist can make or break what you're trying to accomplish.

If the gun is an good Solo fight, perhaps I'll attempt to get one and run some tests of my own as well.

Ahem, Magnatus with DMG+7 is the best Quick Draw gun now btw. Nothing beats base 46 dmg sorry.
Trial of the magians go!
