I just finished ASA last night (yay) and during the fight, someone mentioned that if you repeat the fight, you had a chance at getting a different item, a belt of some kind?

Did I totally misread what he said or something? I can't find any references to that sort of thing anywhere.

It's a rumor or the person misread wiki. I can't link anything on wiki, but it may be the augmented armor you get if you get one of the keys for the coffer at the Tenshodo HQ.

I haven't finished ASA but I believe the belt is from a the tonberry key you get from the fight itself which gives you a chance of getting a belt.
(not to be confused with the key you recieve after the fight which gets you the main prize)
